Tried it these past few days and it is indeed amazing. Not sure if it's the driver or something else but I can finally fly in VR with no stutters even with FSLTL injector running and with medium settings (3080 card).

Thanks for the feedback on the driver. I’ve been using it from release and haven’t had issues. I’m still on the fence with DLSS though. Find myself switching between DLSS and TAA, mainly due to clarity issues in the cockpit. Hope this improves with time.

This last Nvidia driver and SU 10 in MSFS worked wonders in my setup (rtx 2080 and i7 8700k).Most of my settings on High and now I'm able to use DX12(DX12 use to crash my sim). Also I'm able to pop up different gps and put them in other screens with almost no fps lost(before used to pop it up and lost between 10 to 30 fps). The best performance I had in a while!!

Best rtx3090 driver with both my Q2 and VP1. Still seems a bit better with threaded opt, HAGS, and Game Mode off. MSFS DX12 stability is improved but I still prefer TAA/DX11 for slow and low VFR flying. Thanks for your vids and I hope you are feeling better mate. Cheers.

dx12 runs amazing with vsync capped off. reverb g2. i used to cap at 30.. not anymore.

Been having great results with the new Nvidia driver. I'm just waiting for dx12 to fully optimize then I think the game would be smooth.

Hi I have tried almost every driver since 512.77 with worse results. This one is the one that comes the closest to 512.77. Same performance in MSFS 3% less fps in IL2 I will keep 522.25 this time despite minimal loss. My configuration : 5950X, 3080, Pimax 8kx , openxr toolkit with DSR, DLSS AA Overall more than happy with SU10 and DLSS quality. Was blurrier than TAA but with the performance headroom I increased the FSR setting in openxr toolkit from 70% to 80% and everything is now super sharp again in the cockpit with DLSS

I don’t seem to get the same experience with G2 WMR. Also updated OpenXR WMR at same time. Now getting stutters in the Home Screen window!! In MSFS using same settings before updates (DX12) FPS dropped from high 20s to around 13. And still need to sharpen using OpenXR Companion app. Let us know how you find performance in the WMR device, Reverb G2.

I see the turbulence at low level is causing lots of yaw movements, relative to the other 5 DOF. I also experience this. Do you perceive this element of the new turbulence in MSFS as being overdone?

It's an awful driver!!! It's actually creating havoc across the board!! Getting tons of "your graphics driver encountered and error..." message! Had to revert to the old drivers! It also creates issues with displays in aircraft being corrupted. 517.48 is the one that's keeping those issues away fortunately.

I agree. I went back to 516.59 that's the one that gave me best performance and best stability. I don't care much about dx12 as it is now, and DLSS is useless for me as I'm CPU bound anyway.

damn i was close to updating to 522.25 but i read on reddit that people been having 100% gpu usage and running on high temps on idle and this comment convinced me to not update it until Nvidia resolves the issues cheers

@@nexus888 exactly; mid flight in mfs2020 my sim crashed saying it was due to overclocking or overheating... So reverting drivers fixes it?!?

I tried it and it trashed my monitor putting it back to a resolution of 800 x 600 😀. Had to roll back to the previous version. Moral of the story - it's never perfect and always have your previous driver ready to re-install.

I've heard DX12 requires more VRAM. I'm limited to 10GB with my rtx 3080. Could you confirm?

As per the openxr toolkit performance overlay, it only uses around 6.5 GB out of 11 GB I have with my 2080 Ti. DirectX 12 enabled. Medium settings. I just tested it in VR over non-photogrammetic area (sight seeing flight over Angkor What down to the Thailand coast). Not sure however which factors influence the usage, and how it does with ultra settings but you should just give it a go.
