Lovely landing ! Always a fun approach when you have to look out of a side window on final ... I just slew the planes around when I'm in these vintage airliners. They were designed to park sideways next to the terminal, I figure slewing is no more unrealistic than parking nose in to the terminal so lets' not make it hard :-)

Thanks Peter love the DC3 Can I ask, do you just use Little Nav Maps to plan or Navigraph for VOR planning.. I intend to try Vatsim again once I am sorted with the F28.... I am amazed at hearing these kids that are usually so competent at Vatsim puts me to shame.. Be nice to see a programme on them as how on earth do they get so good at such a young age.

I think its just a case of jumping on somewhere quiet and running through a short flight, repetition is the key. But yes, I use little navmap for the VOR to VOR flightplanning, then I run it through simbrief to get some fuel calculations. Then I input that into VPilot and put in the info box 'VOR to VOR nav only, no GPS etc etc' and ATC controllers usually cotton on pretty quick when they see my altitude and ground speed that I'm not a normal aircraft movement!

hi, can I ask how your BEA DC-3 has the Sperry & not the Garmin retrofit please? Many thanks.
@PeterMatthess Жыл бұрын
I had to custom code the livery to use the sperry version of the DC-3 and not the garmin one, I remember it being a pain but one its done its done.

if you go into the livery file and look at the code line, you'll see where it refers to the 3d model it sources. You should just be able to swap the name of the 3d model to the name of the sperry version. Hope thats a helpful pointer

I again Peter, May thanks for your reply & I'm sorry to bother you again but can you give me any pointers to this please? I've searched the livery file & can't seem to find any reference to the 3d model being sourced. Kind regards, Neil@@PeterMatthess
