Flying like this really is a lot of fun, and you get a real sense of movement and speed. The fact that there is no stuttering just adds to the realism of the simulator in VR, which is the icing on the cake. I am using an RTX 3080, and I am really happy with the way it’s performing.

There are no roads, buildings, multiplayer, ai traffic where you are flying. Would love to see if the performance holds up when those are introduced.

@@HellDiverNG Both my OG Vive Pro and Quest Pro look and perform well with my i9 9900k/rtx3090 flying low and slow in NYC (upgraded scenery) in a Cabri heli with those settings. Using dlss I think a 3080:3080ti would also perform well. I tried DCS earlier this year but it wasn’t my cup of tea. It did perform very well and the flight models are also very good. I just didn’t like the combat components and the lack of real world locations to fly. Each to their own I guess. Cheers

Keep up the great work mate! Your channel continues to be the calm in the storm of today's circumstances. I have the 3080 and will try these settings to see how they run. Always appreciate the experimental element that you bring to the community. I realize not all systems run the same, but that is the reason experimenting makes simulation challenging, fun and rewarding. Thanks for sharing some music as well.

I have a 3080ti too and suffered from stuttering a lot and found that when I went from Australian Nbn (12mbps to 97mpbs) to starlink (200+ mpbs) 99% of my stuttering disappeared of course I pushed my settings but it seems your internet speed is the major factor in stuttering. Great video mate!!!!!!

This is my favorite type of flying as well. Through mountains, lakes, over forests. Flying low over a busy built-up city with big bridges etc, is tons of fun, but nothing compares to the beauty of Bush flying at low or high speeds. Of course, the added bonus of way better performance as well!

Another great video mate. Thanks for sharing all this, plus the bonus concert! It's sooo nice to see you sticking with a rtx3080 for now. Way too many KZbinrs are pushing the rtx4090, Vario Aero, and Pico 4 these days. Those channels are now useless for me. I'm really enjoying using my rtx3090 and will stick with that for now. Your DLSS settings work very well for low level heli flying with both my Quest Pro and OG Vive Pro btw. Thanks again mate and cheers.

@@PIEINTHESKYTOURS The only change to your settings I've found worked better for me was to reduce the terrain level of detail back down to 100 for better/smoother performance with fast low level heli flying in cities. Doesn't change the visual quality of most things for me but this may be because I'm using upgraded scenery that already has more detail anyway. Cheers.

I using Real Traffic + PSXT. It worked well some days ago, but now the aircrafts are invisible in the airports, and will be visible when they take off, and leaving the airport. What is the problem?

Hello, and congratulations for your videos, they are very helpful. a question in case you can help me, I don't have sound on my reverg 2g, I've looked at a lot of information, but I can't get them to be heard, I have a big problem with that. to say that at first it did have sound, and that I have the V2 cable. @@PIEINTHESKYTOURS rtx 4090 give me a small boost from 3080ti. Not a big deal for a 2k graphic. I think to play this game in VR still not good. I mean I'm playing in VR 31 fps in New York with motion On all High, medium is the same FPS. maybe in 2025/26 I'll be able to play in new York at 90fps. But yeah I have around 5 FPS boots from my last graphic card . Can't wait for Microsoft improve the performance in VR with the new dlss, still annoying..

@@nunosantos2015 Sounds to me like your cpu might be a bit weak for a 4090. I have an i9 9900k and I doubt I’m even getting the best out of my 3090, lol!

@@tomc1380 my CPU is i9 10850k , yes I can play the game very well in small airport but i can't play in very dense airports with pmdg or fenix with nice FPS. 30 fps motion on and 40fps motion off isn't great for rtx 4090.

@@nunosantos2015 You probably need an i9 1300K to get the best out of a 4090 imho. Just one of the reasons I haven't bothered to upgrade my 3090 to a 4090. I think you should be getting better performance than you say you are. Even in the heart of NYC I'm getting 45fps with dlss/balanced on both my Quest Pro and OG Vive Pro. Neither using msfs motion smoothing. I'm not even using the OpenXR Toolkit right now.
