Thank you! I’ll watch this video later as soon as I learn to virtually fly with your other lessons! 😊

Good idea, gooodoldgavens. Get your VFR skills sharp, and then move on to instrument flying!

You are a machine man! Thanks for the videos. I never attempted the instrument training in real life but always wanted to if and when I hit the lottery. Never hit the lottery though. Go figure. I sold my plane and started really getting into my sim. I am trying to teach myself how to fly on instruments and thanks to your fantastic videos I might just be able to. Are you an actual CFI? If not you should be. Anyway thanks for all the info.

Glad you're enjoying the content & finding it so helpful @BennyLandron60. There are a few quirks to the sim that make it slightly different than flying approaches in real life - but it is certainly a good way to get familiar with instrument procedures. I am a CFI-I/MEI and AGI, but I haven't taught IRL in many years.

Thank you @AlphaHotel... you are helping me very much. I am a new student pilot and I use your videos for flight sim knowledge. I use MSFS on xbox series s and I want you to help me this way: I saw you are using maps/charts that I never see in the sim on xbox. Plz let me know how I can get those maps to use in flight. I have a laptop and a tablet as well. Thank you🥰

Glad you're finding the content helpful, modesten.8254, and thanks for watching! All of the charts and approach plates I use are available (for free) at SkyVector.com. Probably the best way to use it while flying with MSFS would be to look at SkyVector with your tablet. I have a video on how to read IFR enroute charts here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e52Zl4Wel890mLs A video on the basics of instrument approaches and approach charts here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fl6vfZ2Xl5dogMk And a video on how to use VFR charts here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqCzdauKbqyWaLM
