F-16's are not built to land on aircraft carriers, thus you would never see any on them.

@@reazyy9667 They should be able to land if they are equiped with an arrestor hook, but that's intended for emergency landings at land based airstrips. They could also use the emergency net on a carrier if they really have to land there for some emergency reason. But the pilots aren't trained for carrier landings and the chances of a good ending aren't that great. They can also never take-off again, so why would they land there :)

Yay, The aircraft carrier is in San Diego although I wish it was available in free flight as well so I can fly Ryanair 737s there and torture the passengers with hard ass landings. I’m still waiting for my sim to update to the new update. It’s been updating for almost 24 hours cause my internet is potato. I hope this update doesn’t break anything like the last update did. *edit: my update has finished after 29 Flippin hours and so far nothing is really broken but the Darkstar is definitely not working in free flight and some of the instruments are still messed up. Also, Nick check ur Insta DMs plz.

I think the second landing was unsuccessful because of the angle of attack, which needs to be correct for the hook to catch properly. The indicator was red, which means that you were going too fast (and having lower AoA as a result) and the velocity vector was out of the E bracket as well for the same reason. Just manage your throttle to keep the vector in the bracket and it should be pretty good. Also the reason for full power on touchdown is that in case you miss the wires and need to go around, the engines need to be already spooled up so that's why you do that every time just in case.
