10:38 - I believe that 'funky symbol' represents a keyboard - if you click it, you can use your computer keyboard to type in your waypoint id instead of having to use the dial/mouse.

That's correct. Gatcomb never seems to use it as he's so fast with the knob.

If you click that "funky symbol" it puts you into direct keyboard entry mode which makes life so much easier than twirling buttons. Tip: on some aircraft you have to click it again to cancel it otherwise your system key bindings kick in... 😊

Wonderful videos you make! Explanation is top! Do you know if it is possible to use either gns as nav source for the autopilot. Example USING nav 1 VOR, on the 530,and the make a NAV Selection to another VOR FREQ On the 430, and use for AP NAV? Thanks, David.

Thanks for this! I’ve been meaning to dive into this but high level question - i notice now when I set up my ifr in msfs world map - when I get in cockpit gps doesn’t show the magenta line for my route as it did before - I click on fplan and it’s loaded on the Garmin - and made sure I’m in GPS mode and not vloc - I’m sure it’s me but what am I missing ? Thanks !!!

I can't tell what your saying to pop out the map? Sounds like " press alt key" I just can't hear you you talk too fast.

Press the alt button to the right on the keyboard. Then click on the display.
