MSFS2020 - Lord Frite's magnificent Hughes XF-11

Hello big, beautiful world. It has been a little while. Today, the superb bucking bronco that is the Hughes XF-11 form Lord Frites. It has crushed me every time so far yet I cannot stop myself in this beautiful though dysfunctional relationship. Truly a great work of love.

In a simulator filled with greats, this remains one of the very best to me. A real love letter to arguably one of the strangest slices of history to hit the skies. A beautiful beastie.

I hadn't known about the Sal1800 aircraft, brilliant! Is engine damage modelled in the XF11? PS I love your 'balanced field' take off😁

I've a feeling there's partial engine damage modelling but I'll report back in a few days with that one. And yes! SAL1800's planes area real treat, as far as I'm concerned with the little B2 every bit as much fun to get around in as any of the A1R Design Bureau planes - which in themselves are a joy. As for the ummm... idiosyncratic takeoff and landing, I was consciously trying to channel the spirit of old man Hughes himself. 😉 😂 🤣

Engine failures (various severities), electrical failures (any circuit, various severities), fuel leaks (for a few tanks, various leak sizes). You can trigger them yourself or engage random failures with different settings as to how often one of these will trigger. It gives you an extra layer of stress when you know that at any time, an engine could stop, you could lose your interior lights at night, or anti-ice systems :)
