You're not saving the edited profile. When you make a change, ESC becomes 'SAVE and Back'... Now I just press ESC after each change, and no longer have this problem. If you make a change and switch to another profile it does NOT save the changes you just made.

You are a genius. This was driving me nuts. I use my Xbox controller for all cameras (drone, cockpit, etc) and not being able to clear the defaults was making it unusable. I never considered using "none" as a starter profile. Thank you.

It's kinda specific but the speed the camera pans in cockpit is frustratingly slow. I can not find any way to increase the speed of panning my view around in the cockpit. Is there a way to reset this? If so Where?

Why the hell can not all these super duper hyper intelligent programmers on Asobo make a programming that we can import all our bindings from our 10 different joysticks and throttles from MSFS 2020 to 2024. Is this so complicated? 🤦‍♂️ Yesterday I spent 2 hours with binding all my buttons and at the end happened what you say…all gone and MSFS 2024 overwritten all my settings 🤬 What a buggy simulator. Anyway…thanks so much for your tips. 🙏I will wait in future and listen you before I spent more senseless time in this „game“ :)

Hey thanks for the comment sorry you had to go through all that I use spad for my key bindings for that particular reason i've had all of my key binds in Microsoft 2020 erase so many times I was done with that

Excellent very helpful video. The reason your newly created profile reverted to all the binding it inherited when you created it is you must SAVE the new profile before you leave it. You must first push the ESC Save and Back button, which in a couple more of Asobo's what were they thinking moves, (i) may be hidden and require using the Go Back lower left of screen to get to the Save button and (ii) this then takes you all the way put of Controls Settings and you must select the gear button top right get back to Settings General where you must once again select Controls. Yikes, although conceptually a good structure of the controls settings, sure is difficult to figure out.

Excellent tutorial - wish I saw it three days ago when I battled with this new complex and frustrating User Interface to set up my hardware. When you're old and bald like me, pulling out your hair is NOT a pleasant option. lol But I have been able to fly the sim since without major issues understanding there IS a substantial learning curve in my future with MSFS 2024 and there ARE bugs galore for the programming team to squash... after they get the world able to play the thing. Choosing to go 100% cloud-based sounds great unless the skies are CAVU and cloud free.

Great info! My only issue with hardware is my mouse....I can no longer hold the right button and move around the cockpit or external cam...it goes just bonkers....like Im shaking the mouse around. Any clue???

Yes I believe so It transfers those key Binds over to the 2020 Keyboard profile I don't have any issue with it on my end

Your videos are extremely helpful, thanks. But choosing for the 2020 keyboard bindings will not bring the MSFS2020 bindings to your MSFS2024. At least not all of them. I waisted now in total 5 full days and end every day frustrated about the difficult UI, No rain effects, no toolbar, CTD’s, Freezes, aircraft with dark displays, settings you saved getting lost etc etc.

I can't even get the software to scan so I can actually pick a switch to use on my controllers. When I left click in the scan window it briefly shows scanning and then defaults to a "wrong device" message... it's like my mouse is double clicking when it's not.

Maybe another device is activated . I had a controller upside-down on the floor and 1 of the sticks were engaged causing issues

When you change to keyboard2020 the walk around screen is not working anymore. You have to change back to 2024 in order to finisch you walk around.

Yes, so I am using my old trackIR for now. Working great. Only have to wear a baseball cap again...Can't wait for the custom camera saves to work. Edit: If only I noticed that even on tobi site they have the link for Open track. Now it works.

Im still having an issue binding my Alpha Yoke, if I click on a particular button (been trying Avionics 1 & 2), Flick the switch, it populates, until I move my mouse and then it says something like Scan Cancelled, not sure what I'm doing wrong here, any help appreciated. When you click scan you can't press anything else otherwise it'll say scan canceled you have to then press the switch on your alpha switch it on then back off again

It has been somewhat painful, and I wish I knew about the clear all. With my Virpil products, I thought everything would be blank, but I was wrong. The only other problems I have been running into is 2024 not recognizing a switch or a button or give me an error text in the box. Funny thing is, I'll come back later, and it will suddenly recognize it. Another bug for me is it will sometimes want me to start a new profile.

I have a bespoke parking brake lever, didn't have any problems mapping it in msfs 2020, but in 2024 sometimes when trying to assign it it doesn't register the lever movement but even when it does populate the box it stays there for a second and disappears saying scanning cancelled.

Have you tried to go in the windows and recalibrate it as a windows Gaming device. That may help

I've managed to map it as a toggle switch, but I can't map the in position as park brake off or the out position as park brake on. It's really weird, I had no problem in msfs 2020. But the toggle on off works, just need to make sure it's in the out position before starting a flight. Thanks for your help.

delete will delete the profile that's not what i wanted . i needed to clear all the binds so i can start fresh and according to the pop up thats what is is supposed to do .

i'mlad y'all can still play mine crapped out 3 weeks ago and still can't play. support absolutely no help. reinstalled fs windows every software you can think of formatted drives and fs still can't save any settings. every start is like a fresh install having to set everything up and can sometimes can fly once then turn off the game and nothing there next time. it worked 'perfectly' before and changed nothing
