Im 70 and have been shopping at A/F my entire life. I would never not shop at any store due to my age. I really despise when I see older women in the “typical” clothing that most large dept stores lcarry. Alfred Dumner comes to mind. Don’t know if they are still around. Those horrible overly printed big tops. I’ve always been a New England preppy type. Easy to find clothing for that style. Only buy real fabrics,always.

I hate the older women frumpy look. I understand wanting to be comfortable..but if you dress better you feel better. I’m 66 and look younger because I’m always put together, get my hair and nails done and dress in the quiet luxury style. I likely have more clothing than needed but I purge often. I prefer natural fabrics but if there is a style I like , I buy it knowing it may be a shorter term purpose.

Thank you for this! I'm 56 and I shop where I want. I worked really hard for the last two years to get my body back to a size 6/8 and I look at the "age appropriate" stores that I was shopping at as "fat clothes". No more tunics! I do work at home and I love me some matching sweats. I shop at Aerie, Pink, and Banana Republic. My wardrobe is a hodgepodge of work at home and casual out and about clothes. It's a work in process as I have lots of size 16's and 14's (plus everything in between) to get rid of.

I am 60 years old and I just bought a great pair of high waisted jeans at Abercrombie. I am regularly a size 8 and I did have to size up to a 10. But the jeans fit great and are very comfortable. I get so peeved when people say that certain things are not appropriate for us wiser ladies. Now, I agree some things mite be more “Appropriate” for us wiser ladies, HOWEVER, I think alot of that is subjective. I think some can pull off more funky trendy styles (ME lol) and that really makes a huge difference in how things look. Each person carries things differently. I find that things look better on me when I am comfortable. 😊 Wear what fits you, your lifestyle, style and what you feel good in. All of these pieces look great on you :)

NIce outfits and they all look wonderful on you. Banana Republic Factory has some very soft sweaters that are similar to the first greenish longsleeved sweater. Some are pullover and some are button front and all are really cozy, comfortable and can be worn under a blazer.
