I know, I have been chasing gremlins in my new spitfire for the past 3 flights. All ended in a dead stick. I am hoping that I have the problem solved (tank vent squashed) and we can get on with just flying for a change. The farmer will soon run out of corn field for me to land on so I hope that was it! :)

What are your temperature before and after? I see you installed temp sensors on the cylinders.
@RCPLANEVIDEOS7 жыл бұрын
without sensors, it is not because you have no control over the engine. I have 4 sensores on the engine. basically it is the same, 125-135° on the inlet side and 150-160 ° on the outlet side from the cylinder. On the day it had 31° and I flew with a lot of full throttle.
@iggi707 жыл бұрын
Wow, temps looking good. Ever think of putting in water cooling? Maybe invent something very small like cpu water cooling? That would be the next stage in Big RC airplanes.
@RCPLANEVIDEOS7 жыл бұрын
no, these are air-cooled engines and it works. Water would be too expensive. Then you have more weight and electronics ... no one needs that ;-)

@leinadtoorg6 жыл бұрын
Toller sound!
@RCPLANEVIDEOS6 жыл бұрын
Vielen Dank.

@RCPLANEVIDEOS4 жыл бұрын
@galdramadur14 жыл бұрын

I bet its still way over the 90 db's would be cool to see someone make a muffler / dampener that can make those engines go under 90 db's
@RCPLANEVIDEOS7 жыл бұрын
Hello, we make the noise measure always with 25m distance. We measure 3 positions which give an average value. The engine had without muffler 79-80dB on 25m (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mni0aGSYgbikqtU) Now with the muffler he has 76dB on 25m ;-)
@didierneeferc7 жыл бұрын
COOL but i think they measure it here (at my club) from way closer if i am correct
@brycekat3 жыл бұрын
The loud noise high frequency you heard is the propeller tips approaching the speed of sound. A loud unmuffled engine sounds like nascar, larger volume deeper pitch
@didierneeferc3 жыл бұрын
@@brycekat i know what i said lol not talking about the high pitch noise of the props. talking pure engine noise. we measure at 7m distance ...
