Sir i have the same laptop MSI GF65 10UE ,with the spec of CORE I5 RTX 3060 8GB DDR4, I wanted to upgrade the ram to 16 which ram should i pick which is compatible with my pc?

disconnect the battery if you are going to work inside the machine, doesnt matter if it is ram, or anything else. always disconnect the battery

Does an NVME with this kind of power being a PCI-E 3.0 not need thermal cooling of some kind? IE.. Heatsink? Or is it fine..

I installed an ssd but my laptop won't see it, i think the slot is disabled in the BIOS but im not sure. Do you have any idea?

RIght Click on on the windows start button Go to Disk Management it should ask to initialize the drive

I have a question why u disconnected battery first' before installing SSD is it important to disconnect battery .?

There is a risk of shorting out the laptop if you change parts with the battery or power still connected Disconnecting it removes the risk

yes a fresh install on the new hard drive. or add new drive format as D: drive and use it to install games

So I did this, and after closing the laptop back up, it wouldn’t power back on. I didn’t shock anything or short anything, it was a very clean process. Now my laptop won’t power on.... any ideas?

i would try disconnecting the battery and see if it will run off the power cable.

since it didn't come with a thermal pad in the packaging and its not always running flat out (iv finished copying my games to it) i believe it should be fine

@@rickstechrepairs cool. I have the same laptop. Have you noticed spike in cpu temps sometimes. Like it goes from 60c to 90c instantly and things like that.

You will need to go in to disk management and format the drive to get it to work as a secondary hard drive Or use software to clone from one SSD to another

2:00 i find the wiggle from right to left certainly helps, you may also be able to use a small flat head screw driver to pry out (be extremely cautious with it)
