VD doesn't an HDMI port but a DVI-D port.You can get an adapter but it's not really worth it.Just go for the pro-vh

Thanks Arjun. There is basically no performance difference between the two versions, just as Ahan said. You just get different ports. If your current monitor supports HDMI, I would recommend going with VH model, just to be future proof.

+Corvus If you are not planning to over clock or do crossfire/two way SLI, this board should be good enough. And you already have GTX 1070, which I believe would be good enough for any game you can throw at it. Save the money unless you are going to use all the features by Z170 board.

Hi I am using the same motherboard along with Intel i5 6500. I use my LED TV as my monitor but there is some problem as through the HDMI port display is working fine but there is no audio through the speakers of the TV. I have updated and reinstalled all the drivers still in audio playback devices digital audio HDMI does not show although the front and rear auxiliary ports work well. Recently I formatted everything from my computer including the windows 10 and then downloaded and installed new windows 10 still same problem presists. Please help me out if you have any solution

this version has 2 USB 2.0 ports in front, and 4 2.0 USB ports on rear. The plus version has 4 USB 2.0 at front and just USB 2.0 on rear. Thats the only difference between plus and normal model.

+John Malto No, there won't be any compatibility issue with your processor and graphics card. You can plan a upgrade later on, if you feel graphics performance is slow. But no this motherboard won't bottleneck any of hardware you have mentioned.

Do you have UEFI/Legacy BIOS option setting? It must be set to Legacy BIOS, please change that to UEFI. By default, it goes into UEFI, not sure why you're acing this issue.

Yes, they will work perfectly. In fact I am using the same setup except my card is ASUS GTX 750Ti OC 2GB. Same mobo and same processor, works awesome!

I am using same motherboard with i5 6500 (but no graphic card except the inbuilt intel hd 530). My problem is that NO SOUND COMES THROUGH HDMI, as it doesn't show my LED TV in play back devices and I have been using it like that for past 3 years Things I have tried: -Uninstalling , reinstalling and updating intelHD and realtek hd audio drivers , manually and as well as through windows auto update feature. -Formating whole system and reinstalling windows 10. -swapping cables etc etc. All to vein, nothing worked. LED TV works perfectly with other hdmi inputs such as tata sky setup box. Though sound comes through aux output but not through hdmi. Can you please help me solve this problem 🙏?

This motherboard do support 7gen cpus, but then you must update the bios and for that you need a 6gen cpu, if you go for the MSI B250M PRO-VH you get the same board but with 7gen cpu support out of the box, and B250 supports m.2 ssd and have more sata and usb3 ports, the B250M does cost a tinytiny bit more, atleast it does that where I live, its not much difference.

Jayshrikant Shrivastava No you can only overclock k series CPU's using the Z series motherboards. Also that AMD CPU is very old and not recommended, rather get a G4560 and a 1050ti and you are set for GTA V

This motherboard supports 7gen cpus(i5 7600), but for that to happen you need to update the bios, you can be lucky and get a board that works, but if you want to be guaranteed no problems, you should go for the same motherboard but with B250M chipset, its pretty much the same board only with native support for the cpu you listed here. MSI B250M PRO-VH is the name of the same board but with support out of the box with 7gen cpu, think the B250M supports m.2 ssd, H110 does not as far as I know and it has more sata and usb3 ports, the B250.
