hange your boot settings you either trynna install win11 on a non tpm device , or have it as a 2nd boot . i know the pain i spent hours gettin it right lol, ther problem was i downloaded a virus that destroys MBDRIVES abd no usb was a headache, now i keep one backed up nd only run windows on a bare metal vhd. i love it . i purposely infect it then use whatever i need of softweare and destroy it after im done on mtk android tools

I've got no drives showing in installation. All drivers are up to date nvme is showing up in bios but won't display from installation setup. I'm trying to install win 10 over 11 as I hate win 11

I chose the Remove Everything option, waited for 4 hours then I encountered this message: "a configuration change was requested to clear this computer's TPM (Trusted Platform Module) Warning: Clearing the erases information stored on the TPM. You will lose all created keys and access to data created by these keys. Press F12 to clear the TPM Press Esc to reject this change request and continue." Which option should I choose? Thank you.

MSI support website - find for your device and all software, drivers etc are hosted there. (MSI.com/support) edit - maybe not the theme though, actually, I can't find that. Windows default theme is still ok :)

That’s true, but I think it’s more to do with the drivers are from when the laptop or pc was first released. In my case my laptop from 2017 still has graphics drivers from 2017 available. My view was always, doing a reset like this plus the website drivers gets you to “out of the box” from when it’s new, but everything working and stable, then I’d go and get updates from whoever (nvidia etc). Also windows update will catch a lot of them.

@@azeemjaafar14 sure thing mate, this looks like you: www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GF63-Thin-10UX?sub_product=GF63-Thin-10UC If that worked that should take you to the support page for the GF63 uc - all the drivers are there, along with bios updates if there are any, manuals etc. In my experience it won’t be the latest drivers (ie also get GeForce experience and see what they think you should update to as latest GFX driver too) but it will be the drivers and software that were shipped on the laptop. I have a question, if you dont mind answering, I found the support page for my specific laptop (www.msi.com/Laptop/support/GS65-Stealth-Thin-8RF) and I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to download/install everything under each category (bios, driver, utility, firmware etc...) or is there some specific drivers and software that I NEED to install? PS: I went ahead and downloaded the MSI Driver & App Center app and took a picture of my current drivers/software versions from this app to try and mimic it after I do my clean windows install on a new bootable nvme drive. not sure if this would help me... thanks in advance!

TLDR: just drivers and utilities, though Windows Update can do a lot of the drivers for you and Windows Store will be where you get the utilities (check for notes on the msi page about the utilities first). I haven't actually done an install onto a new drive like you're planning, using windows 10 (not something I've played with since 7!) - the last time I wanted to reset everything on an MSI laptop I actually used Window's "Reset This PC" facility, chose "don't keep everything", and it basically sets you to a clean install of windows with none of the MSI stuff. So, in many ways similar to what you'll end up with installing to a clean drive I suspect. Regarding what to then download... I would firstly avoid firmware and bios updates - really only do those if you actually need to (like something is unstable) or advised it's worth it for security reasons - if they go wrong you can end up bricking your hardware. (actually just had a look and there are some bios security updates available so if you're comfortable I would say do those, before you start the rest of the reset for windows, which won't touch firmware or bios) For device drivers, Windows Update is really good at getting you going. It will identify most if not all of your hardware after an fresh install (MSI doesn't use weird obscure stuff so that helps). Then you can compare with the website to see if there's anything newer, that would be worth updating. IIRC the Nvidia driver was the only one I had to force on myself, and potentially poke it a bit to get it to realise it had both Nvidia and Intel video capability. I can't remember exactly what I had to do but I just googled the symptoms and it was easy to find a fix. The hardware won't break, it's purely a case of making sure Windows knows when to use them. Once all the drivers are set then you're looking at utilities. For the most part, for your laptop they're on the Windows Store so you're going to want to download them from there anyway. That'll have the bonus of making sure you get the most up to date versions. My previous MSi laptop predated the Driver and App Centre, so I don't know how that works but it might be worth just getting that first and it might actually point you to everything you can get anyway. Otherwise, the list on the website will tell you what you had, you can search the store for it after that. There are a few notes about updating drivers first which I would follow. Hope that helps!
