Great information. I watched several other tutorials on changing the BIOS to UEFI and enabling secure boot, but I always ran into problems with my MSI. This is the first tutorial I found that mentioned changing the partition table format from MBR to GPT or it wouldn't work. I found that my M.2 with Windows 10 was formatted MBR and as luck would have it, I already had EaseUS on my computer so it was easy to convert it to GPT. Bingo. My computer now works with Windows 11.

I have a Z390 gaming plus. I have a MSI 2.0 TPM Module. If I plug it in to my MB will I still need to do the steps you outlined for it to work?

Hey. I just purchased an MSI Aegis ZS that will not boot to Windows 11. It either continually goes into repair mode or gets stuck in a boot loop. I followed this video, was able to enable Secure boot, created Win11 boot media, and was able to install Windows 11. After running Windows update, it crashed and got stuck in a boot loop again. I've tried a couple of times to reinstall Windows and again it goes into repair mode then gets stuck in a boot loop. Any ideas? This is the second MSI PC in a week. Great tutorial. I recommend using the HDMI output only, in my case using the Display port didn't show the screen of bios after changing from CMS to UEFI.

I have a pro b650m-p. I followed all the instructions to change to uefi and enabled secure boot but now the ethernet port no longer works, I can get to the desktop, and the front USB ports no longer work either

I can't get secure boot to be enabled.. Drives are gpt Uefi is set. But setting the windows 10 whql makes my screen stay black. There was a comment going from display to HDMI but this doesn't work for me so my bios keeps saying I have CSM loaded so i can't enable the secure boot. I already have windows 11 installed. I'm only trying this for Valorant's Vanguard, but unfortunately I can't get it fixed. Please help

What the HELL .. I came here not to learn how to upgrade windows been doing that since the birth of microsoft I am here because my POS MSI motherboard says it is TPM 2.0 supported but the windows update checking tool says it is not .. the concern here is to get my pos motherboard to actually LET me install windows 11 what the hell are you doing skipping way past the actual foundation of the video ? at no time did you even say how to enable TPM 2.0 which you cannot even download windows 11 without .. my next motherboard will NOT be MSI and to be clear your losing a 20 year plus customer or however long you have been in business.

I was having that same problem. I have MSI Tomahawk Max Wifi X570s bought last month. It's bios is fairly recent 12/2021. I tried everything short of updating the bios. I don't like doing that. However, it's been bugging me. Did I get a motherboard with a damaged on board TPM module? Which seems quite common. Anyway, I just got done updating to the latest bios 08/2022. And whaddya know. TMP is fully functioning. I blame Microshaft for all this not so much the motherboard manufacturers. Seriously though wth a bios from December last year shouldn't have had an issue with TPM. Now the question is, do I still want to go Windows 11. I've been watching Windows 11 vs Windows 10 benchmarks and except for a few areas, Windows 10 still beats Windows 11 in most benchmarks. The only thing Windows 11 brings to the table is a better looking UI/GUI. Looks like microshaft took ideas from Linux and Mac Os and incorporated it into Windows 11. That's all.

It was easy on a Asus Z790 Tuff. Not for this MSI Z390 Gaming plus. I'll prolly have to get another Mobo & chip before Oct. '25. Won't be be an MSi.

@@dalek.6171 windows can lick my Hairy arse intend to skip past windows 11 if i can help it tired of searching for drivers to run programs that the companies are no longer in business .. you get a new version of windows and BLAM now you gotta buy a printer because you cant get drivers ..
