MSI Pulse 15 Review - Best $1500 QHD RTX 4060 Gaming Laptop?

I have an MSI Pulse 15 , you can get in two m.2 ssd. Just lift the left side of the battery and insert the ssd. And screw the battery with the bottom screw only on the side. The battery gets a small bulk, but the ssd doesn't move and the battery is in no danger. And no difficulties in screwing the back piece back on. So yes you can have two m.2 in it.

There's supposedly a bracket MSI will send you if you ask for one.

You can prob install a bracket but you would have to remove the battery and run off plug in only. That's what I'm guessing after research.

just picked this up for $1200. Really excited. I definitely would've liked a ~$1400 4070 machine but this was kind of an emergency purchase and I'm happy with it. Will definitely upgrade to 32gb ram and maybe a 2tb ssd in the future.

I purchased the 4070 version in the UK. Great screen, keyboard is ok, small , neat and overall happy with the laptop apart from 1 thing. OMG the fan noise when you try to play a game on it is crazy. My old alienware was never this loud in any way shape or form... maybe I need to spend a little more to get something higher quality.

You can turn down the fan during the game if you want it runs super cool just keep a eye on your temps the first few long gameplay.

DDR5 single dimm/soldered only with one empty DIMM (as on some Asus machines) works no worse on games etc because of how the one RAM controller per DIMM/channel works. There was one review where they looked it up and software reads one 16gb DIMM or a soldered+empty DIMM slot as 2ch RAM.

This machine has upgradeable ram, both slots are open can take up to 64gb

I'm thinking of getting this laptop. I bought a Raider a few months ago and I didn't like the audio chip and the 16:10 screen resolution on it. I saw a Pulse with an RTX 4070 and 32 gigs of RAM at Newegg just now. Hopefully this laptop will be worth it. I remember buying a 16:10 laptop a few years back, the MSI Dominator Pro, most of my programs work better on a 16:9 display.

So at 6:00 when you compare it to the G16, you take the base specs for the Zephyrus. For a bit more money here in Canada (but not a lot more), the QHD+ version of the G16, with the i9 and 1tb of SSD is available. Would that make it the better deal according to you ?

I like that program you're using at the beginning, but real annoyed there's no filter for GPU type. I literally have to search the page for 4080 or 4090 by hitting Ctrl-F... weak.

I bought this laptop, it came with the MSI logo apparently with a manufacturing defect, as the print quality is really poor. I'm referring to the Dragon logo on the external part of the laptop lid. So, this thing is BOLTED down on EITHER a gaming mouse or keyboard. usb 2.0. And I know it doesn't come with a gaming keyboard.. The polling rate is 125hz on almost everything I have seen laptop wise sofar. I duno why even given its got a high refresh rate at the monitor.
