Loved seeing you bring such a nice card back to life! You mentioned the solder balls cracking from thermal pad pressure. Do you think this only happened after the waterblock was removed? Or is this possible from pressure alone?

hi lord, some confuse me, the partition E , byte 6 correspond to CMD29, CMD43, CMD40 etc etc. thats right, but the chip with those connections are the M509. Byte6 = upper bits (32 to 63) so i would say the chip that mods report to partition E byte 6 its E1 from the back side. just for the science.

Oh Kris, so it was operator error that put excess pressure on the chips. Still having a problem understanding. More pressure creating chip dislodgement. How can this be? Is it board flex that produces an area that flexes upwards or down causing heating and metal melting?
@KrisFixGermany2 жыл бұрын
nothing melts but breaks by flexing the board
@gpudoctor2 жыл бұрын
Brother, how do you know from byte 6 that this is the chip on the back? Isn't byte 6 shared by another memory chip?

Now I I know where to send my 3090 in case it ever fails (mine is well cooled and repadded/repasted) used soft pads so I'm safe.
@KrisFixGermany2 жыл бұрын
It is not chip problem. This damage is caused by bending

@@KrisFixGermany So you also think GPU sag is what caused that problem? Or the incorrect pad?

I have the same issue with my GPU! I have Asus dual 3070 08GB. After updating the GPU driver I got a black screen problem. I tried this GPU with another computer and I did not get any issues with the card. I borrow another RTX 3070 TI from my friend and when I place it on my computer I got the same black screen again after that I tried RTX 2060 this card works on my computer without any issue no matter which driver I use. I check my GPU card requirements it says 750watt and I have 850+gold so I would like to ask can my PSU cause this problem? because not have enough power for these 2 RTX 3070 cards. By the way I tired everything solve it I format my computer I remove the driver with DDU many times and tried almost 10 different drivers nothing solve this problem.
