Sooo I let my tumbler sit over night. And when I went to do the "flood coat" today, it was clumps of glitter. Sooo did I use too much glitter and not enough epoxy on first coat? I ended up spraying it with sealer and then adding epoxy which worked better. But I saw you added your 2nd epoxy after 2 hours and didn't have that trouble

Hi! Just wondering if you could tell me how you are able to have your tumbler arms pull on and off without having to twist them off? I purchased one off Etsy and when I need to take the tumbler off it’s a pain to have to twist and I get nervous I’m going to hit the edges of the cup. I like how yours is. Thanks :)

I see some people use a spray sealer. Do you need to do that or can you go straight to epoxy as you did?
@MissKissKreations4 жыл бұрын
When doing the epoxy method you not need to spray it with any sealers. You can go straight into epoxying the tumbler

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a warped bottom. Is there a way to fix that after it dries?
@MissKissKreations2 жыл бұрын
Your tumbler is leaning down causing the epoxy to slide down towards the bottom. Make sure you have your tumbler leveled on your turner and make sure your table it level. To fix: sand, sand, sand!!! Then re epoxy. It may not be fixable if it’s a bigger “warp”

@leahriker67894 жыл бұрын
Hi! I am not the video author but that happened to me once. What happened for me was that I think I didn’t have completely even parts A and B, like one was slightly more. Or it didn’t get mixed fully. If it’s just a little tacky to the touch, just do another coat of (carefully measured and mixed) epoxy and let that spin/cure and you should hopefully be okay!

Hi! On one of my tumblers I ended up with a large blob of epoxy at the bottom and it’s uneven when I set it on a flat surface... the epoxy is already cured. Is there anything I can do, short of stripping the entire thing with acetone? Would it work to strip just the bottom?
@joslynklinkel89604 жыл бұрын
Can you sand down the glob? I've had an uneven lump on the bottom and spent like an hour sanding it--just be careful not to sand a normal area of the cup as much because there's obviously not as much epoxy to sand down and you can sand into the glitter or the alcohol ink/paint job. It worked for my cup and I didn't have to strip it, just add a second thin coat of epoxy to the whole tumbler after the base was even.

Miss Kiss Kreations do I need to spray the first coat of glitter with a clear spray paint?
@deannamotte71014 жыл бұрын
So I made my first tumbler with glitter- I sprayed the primer first then let dry. I then sprayed with adhesive spray to hold glitter and then let dry also. I then added glitter and let dry for an hour and a half. I started adding epoxy and noticed it was thinning the glitter out in certain areas of the tumbler. I then started adding glitter to patch up the spots and it made the tumbler texture look gloopy and dimply. The epoxy started running. I need help! I need to know once I let my glitter dry, how much epoxy do I apply? And is one coat enough?
@Araceli84884 жыл бұрын
If you’re using a spray adhesive to add glitter into your tumbler you need to then spray the tumbler with a sealer. After the sealer is dry then you can epoxy.

how dry is the epoxy before you add glitter and do you have to add glitter to bottoms and brim

You add the glitter right after applying the epoxy. You need the epoxy to be wet and not dry at all so the glitter can stick to the epoxy

Yes. Add glitter to the bottom. I add glitter all the way up to the top of my tumbler and then I clean up the rim with an exacto knife. I have two videos on this. They are both posted in my beginners playlist section too

I would be careful with a using a hair dryer, it may blow too much and not produce enough heat to pop any bubbles or smooth out epoxy. Also, heat gun does the same as a torch. Just preference
