μSKY is car type 2000series Limited Express train connecting Nagoya city and Japan Chubu(Centrair)international airport.
All seats on μSKY require reservation(first class car ticket).

So, I'm trying to get to Nagoya Station, to ride the JR Shinkansen to Takayama, so from Nagoya Station, I am confused that it says "First class cars require a first class car ticket, in addition to a regular ticket. I thought I just need to press the U symbol at the bottom of the screen, and that's enough to board, but do I need another regular ticket on top of this?

On city trains, it is generally not acceptable to eat food on the train, though sipping a drink is fine. On trains for longer distances, it is acceptable to eat. Very similar to you!

At 1:38 in the video, the μ First Class Car Ticket icon appears at the bottom of the ticket vending machine screen. If you touch there, you will be taken to the first class ticket purchase screen. An icon that can be purchased with a ticket will also appear. In this video, I bought a first class car ticket online. At 2:11 in the video is the purchase screen. So far, Chubu Centrair International Airport is not very crowded. You can easily buy it at the airport station without purchasing in advance. There is also one train every 30 minutes!
