I liked Erivo in “Harriet” so much. I watched that movie twice. Erivo’s performance was so darn good; she embodied Harriet’s determination, faith in God, and bravery so brilliantly. Such an underrated film. I liked Erivo in “Chais Walking” as well.

@@scottsummers4234 Yeah. You know what I wish? I wish that the musical remakes of "West Side Story" and "The Color Purple" switched years. That way Cynthia Erivo could do both "The Color Purple" and "Wicked". I think Steven Spielberg should've directed "The Color Purple" movie musical since he did a great job with both the 1985 film and the "West Side Story" remake. I think it should've had more songs from the stage version like "Too Beautiful for Words" and 'African Homeland", make the storytelling and production be better and also have Jennifer Hudson as Shug Avery. Then it would've been a Best Picture winning movie musical masterpiece! As far as the "Wicked" movie, I haven't seen it yet, I heard the soundtrack though and clearly Cynthia Erivo did a great job, but to be honest, I'm still a little disappointed that Idina Menzel didn't get to reprise as Elphaba, I know she's too old now, but still there's a side of me that makes me wish they could've deaged her with makeup and visual effects. And I'm still not sure if splitting "Wicked" into two movies was a good idea. But I"ll have to wait and see about that. If I change my mind I'll let everyone know.
