I think it’s so unfortunate that, despite their popularity, there are still so many people in the US who have no idea who they are or who won’t give them a chance due to their preconceived notions about K-Pop or “boy bands.” I know a lot of these people.

Their SNL “Mic Drop” performance changed my life. One day I was normal, then I saw that and became ARMY. I’ve spent countless hours watching them every sense.

Same here. The only thing I had watched of BTS until that point was their BBMA performance of Boy With Luv with Halsey. I wanted to watch the performance again but could only find fancams. But then I learned they performed Boy With Luv on SNL so I watched that performance and then watched their Mic Drop performance after that one. While I love Boy With Luv the Mic Drop performance sold me. And I probably continued to watch BTS content for 12 hours straight the day I discovered them. It's been 2 years now and I'm so happy to be an ARMY. I was supposed to see them in Chicago at Soldier Field for the first in June 2020 but Miss Rona ruined those plans. Are you excited for Butter?

They did achieve what the Beatles did. And therefore bts is the best boy band ever. Not diminishing the talents of other boy bands that I loved and grew up with, but I have not loved a group of boys that are younger than my own sons more than the bangtan boys. Their massive success and incredible talent are only surpassed by their own personalities which are down to earth and humble, and honestly good people around. That is what I appreciate about them

Seeing western mediabases finally doing well researched videos/articles about them finally makes me happy. For a good while they were asked about their favourite English words & who they want to collaborate with but now they are being asked about their music & that's great. Also covering their past & history in Korean industry is also rare but important to realise they had to grow from bottom to top. Their success wasn't sudden & out of no where. There suffer because alot of people give into the stereotypes of kpop & boy bands & never give them a chance. Even though i grew up listening to kpop. What drew me into BTS in 2014 was the fact that they reminded me of how boyband/singing groups from motown were .....
