The 90’s have been in since 2012 I think. This whole decade’s been about the 90’s revival and apparently now they’re trying to bring the 2000’s back. I agree btw, colors in fashion lately have been very muted and I liked it for a while but now I just think it’s too somber, I definitely miss the bright colors of the 2000’s too. I’m not a big fan of most 90’s fashion but I actually really like the late 90’s trends like sheer mesh and others that I can’t name right now. I think the time we’re in right now is almost mirroring 1998 (I just get that feeling) but obviously not as iconic. It’s probaly cause we’re close to the 2020’s and we’re preparing to close out this decade and the trends this past year have reflected the late 90’s so it all makes sense. One thing I can’t stop wondering is if they’re trying to bring back the 2000’s for the 2020’s I wonder what they’ll do in the 2030’s. I mean what other decade can they revive after the 2000’s which in and of itself was inspired by previous decades?

Kat X Too bad the 90s music can't come back. It's too much EDM and trap music now. Well they did try bringing back one of the worst 90s music trends... boy bands. Ugh. Even then I will take Nsync and BSB over One Direction any day of the week. At least they are guilty pleasures. 1D will never be guilty pleasures because I was graduating high school when they were popular. At least the other ones take me back to childhood.

I was born in 1997 My 'phase' days were between 2007-2013. I have grown up a lot in the last four years, been in college and I am on my way to vet school next spring. My sister was born in 1990 and so she went through all of those fashion trends above, as did most of my cousins lol These trends lasted a long time though, easily into the early 2010s... I wore cargo pants, tons of bracelets, vans shoes, but once I turned 15 it was all about converse, jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies.

Me! I live at 9,000 feet elevation, in a cold climate. On the coldest days, floors can get chilly! Shearling is a great insulator and allows me to keep the heat turned down a bit lower, *saving* money over time. And, unlike cheap synthetic slippers, they are breathable; who wants sweaty feet? Buying cheap items isn’t always a wise financial decision. Something well made, using quality materials, will often outlast - and almost *always* will outperform - their cheap counterparts. How best to save money? Buy the best quality you can afford, but buy LESS, and take very good care of things to make them last, repairing when necessary. My warmer weather house shoes are traditional Birkenstocks, also quite expensive. Mine are 12 years old (still in great shape, despite daily wear) and when they begin to wear out, they can be refurbished by the company to last several more years. I’d say that’s *excellent* value! And buying *one* durable item, rather than several cheap ones over that same time period, is much better for the environment.

Anyone else remember when durags were the hottest thing going in the early 00’s? 50 Cent with a durag in pretty much everyone of his videos. Eminem with one on too. Nelly wearing them in tons of his early videos too. Also going to the mall and seeing tons of people with durags on their heads. Didn’t matter if the cape was out or not. You could find them not just at beauty stores but dollar stores and pharmacies had them too. But back then lots of people didn’t matter who. Wore them, I remember lots of people having durags in different colors, to match their outfits. I really liked the Two Tone ones. Watching any hip hop, pop, rock, music video or movie where the scenes take place in a high school, you’re bound to see someone in the background with a durag on. Being jealous that they get to wear durags to school but you cannot. It seems the really cheap ones that are still out there. That you can still find at dollar stores have extremely short tails. I’m still trying to find the exact brand of a few I had as a kid. But everyone only really sells the velvet ones for like $30 these days...

Uggs are still a thing thought. Now they sale Uggs with different types of ribbons on the back. My dad bought me a pair. I do understand that the type of clothes worn with it is different now. The video showed them worn even on warm days and people just buy and wear them in the winter now.

I was rocking a red halter neck top with denim shorts 2 summers in a row. I was a big fan of the low rise jeans, but growing up in a cold climate, crop tops just didn’t make it into my closet although I loved them. I got plenty of crop tops now that I moved to a warmer climate, but I wear them with regular or high rise jeans/shorts/skirts.

Yes I can agree with alot of the stuff on this list. I was a teen in 2000. Everyone rocked the super thin eyebrows, super black eyeliner, Ed hardy (I hated that brand), tiger like highlights, Britney/ jlo hat, super low jeans with g-string showing, crop top (stomach showing was everything) juicy track suit, von dutch trucker hat, fake tan, and timberland boots and timberland heel boots. Those were hot! Lol I miss being a teen.

God I missed from 2001 to like 2006. Literally the best years of my life. Jackass was huge, the kids ACTUALLY played outside until the street lights came on, the eagles were good, chat rooms were a thing, skateboarding was popular as was Tony hawks pro skater, gta 3 and 4,, still played N64 and ps2, dynasty warriors, mtvs scarred, and not a worry in the world. The last real time before cellphones where you would knock on someone's door to see if they were home. Its definitely changed.. A lot and I will always hold those years near and dear to my heart but that happens to every generation. The kids now don't understand it because they don't know about it and soon they will miss the times that are now. Hold on to your youth kids because once it's gone.. It's gone
