Gaga’s camp outfit signified her extravagant persona that has grown over the years, stratifying over one another. Layer after layer, the dresses and looks trailed back her different eras ending with the “go-go/cabaret performer sing on top of a piano in her underpants”. Which is literally what she used to do before she became popular. Thats camp. Being extravagant is not the point (ahem....katy perry), having a point is more crucial. She was the one who re-introduced the concept of camp to this current generation. As the narrator aptly says “the camp theme was tailor made for her”. Anna wintour knows exactly what the quotes talking about.
