I'm glad that they retconned George cheating on Mary, by having Sheldon simply misunderstand their role playing. It would have been hard to see George in the same light, given how he was depicted as a devoted family man.

All of these are spectacular.. but the retconning of several moments was absolutely needed. When Georgie reveals later in *_TBBT_* that his narrative of life isn't as trustworthy as he has long believed (thanks to his overly inflated ego...A), it was necessary to build on that.

Originally on BBT there was no ”three knocks three times”. In an early episode he knocked four times, said the name and simply repeated until he got an answer.

He may have. That would explain why older Mary talks about George saying "he cheated on me and died." George never cheated on her, but maybe she believed Sheldon's word on it, not realizing he was talking about her.

Some of these are plot holes, though. For example, -On The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon said he was in Germany when he was 15 and his dad was still alive then and the house was falling off the cinderblocks. On Young Sheldon, we learn that he went there when he was 13, his parents' house wasn't the one that fell apart, and George was dead before Sheldon was 15. -If the "Other woman" was Mary in a wig, why did Mary get angry with George and his girlfriend? That was revealed on the Big Bang Theory in season 10 episode 12. Does this mean that Mary yelled at George and herself? The Young Sheldon writers should have thought of that before they wrote this in.

Imo you have to separate Sheldon's version of the cheating story and Mary's version. The answer for Sheldon's version of the story is the wig and the answer for Mary's version is that technically Mary and George both of them had harmless flings in young Sheldon and Mary did yell at her neighbour for her situationship (idk what to call it lol) with George. Having said that, there are indeed plotholes in both the series but I think this is how the makers tried to cover it.

It depends were you lived at the time and if you watch a lot of TV and favored the med-west accent. I was raised in Texas and I don't have a Texas accent and watch a lot of TV when I was young. Lots of new content. Also lived in a large city. When I lived in Chicago no one knew I was from Texas until I told them. Only when I was older did I start to mimic other around me with the accent.

Schrödinger's cat was not a well known subject when I was in school it started becomes part of the pop culture in the 90's. about the time Sheldon would be in school. Physic was not a required class when I was in school.

@@faervas1234 So it's a bit different than in our country, for me it was probably the first year of high school so I was 15 years old, which means it was 2010, but my main subjects at that time were language/literature, history and social studies and Schrödinger's cat was discussed with me in the field of social studies.

There was so much retcon that had to be done in order for the two series to remotely be similar that you basically have to ignore the first 4 seasons of The Big Bang Theory. The absolute only thing that both series have in common that was never retcon was Sheldon Cooper being an egotistical condescending individual from start to finish.

Then they sell your information to different marketing firms. That is how they make money since they don't charge for the app. I'd rather just sit through an ad than have my info and activity tracked and sold. But thank you for the suggestion.
