I was never a fan and couldn't understand why Ru loved her so much. There were times it was painfully obvious she had been saved by production as a better queen in the challenge was sent home. Season 14 was the first new season of drag race I watched and this might have happened in earlier seasons but Daya I personally think got more of a “bitch edit” than a straight up “villain edit”, same as MIB and some what Lux. It serves the same purpose as a villain edit but we get to see moments of them not being jerks and getting along with people, like when Daya ate the dragonfly 😂

i wouldn’t say i hate kennedy. after watching untucked there were some moments where i was like ok girl ur doing to much. it’s giving a little bitter. but i don’t hate her. i was sad when katya went home but that’s the show. now can i say kennedy had a bit of an ego? absolutely. but my biggest dislike about her was just how much her and ginger tried to bring down pearl, max, and violet. it’s not their fault the judges gave them what i would deem as special treatment. so to get mad at them and pick at them for it was uncalled for in my book.

Honestly I’m with Derrick on this one, I call bullshit on there not being even 1 death associated with the Stonewall riots. Tons of people were killed during the BLM protests in 2020, and those largely consisted of teenagers who had families who knew where they were and were expecting them to come home. How do those protests have a higher death count than a literal riot of people who largely only hard chosen families who were probably standing right next to them? I’ve also heard older generations of the community talk about how friends and people they knew went “missing” during the Riots and never showed up again. Which is why starting in season 13 (while filming at least idk about after) there’s a therapist the queens can call (they call it “queen care”) to talk about the stress of the competition, any issues they’re having with other contestant and such. I also believe that’s why they’ve sort of switched from having a “villain” of the season with a “villain edit” to what I call the “bitch edit”. I don’t have access to season 13 so I can’t speak for that season but in season 14 Daya had the “bitch edit”. The difference between the two being that the villain edit paints a one dimensional “villain” that’s extremely easy for fans to hate, while the bitch edit shows the queen having fun and getting along with the other queens while also having the drama, fights and reads as the normal “villain edit”, painting the queen as a person instead of a character. From the seasons I’ve personally seen the most obvious examples I can give to show the difference are to compare Daya’s edit to Phi Phi from AS2. They also attempted to give MIB the “bitch edit” instead of a “villain edit”, she was just still being a bitch during her good moments.

It wasn't considered that bad then as it is seen now. Even show itself had some stuff like you've got a shemale. What I'm saying about Phi Phi is that she was actively trying to sabotage and manipulate others, for example Roxxxy in Snatch game and acting challenge, same as Jiggly in some challenge (I don't remember which one).
