I missed my father and still missing him. Who would have thought Pa that you will left us so early, what a surprise. One month has passed since you left us but whenever I listen to this song and other sad songs, I could picture you out smiling and looking at us. It just hurts because I always remember my last days with you, from rushing to the hospital then transferred to other hospital, was not able to be at you side in the ICU until you finally gave. Like what they say Pa, when you lost someone very close and special to your heart, you do not really have to move on because moving on is also moving away with all the great memories you had. I lost my big sister, Kristen, a few weeks ago to Juvenile Diabetes. They played this gorgeous song at her funeral on the Tribute slideshow, and we were crying so hard when our family picture slid on screen because it was only 3 months before she died. I am 1/5 of my siblings and 4/5 of us were actually adopted, but Kristen never actually had a real family. Our Mother has been in and out of jail and on drugs, drunk, etc. She was the only person Kristen could turn to. When she died, our Mother broke down and sobbed asking "Why?". Cherish your loved ones, because today might be their last. We love you Sissy.

Thank you to all who left a comment, sent their thoughts, prayers and or shared stories of their own broken hearts and losses. When the pain eases a little and we are able to see all of the loved ones who are still here with us, whether family, friend, or pets, I hope more than anything that everyone finds a way to let them all know just how much they are loved, how grateful we are to have them in our life and how deeply we cherish every moment shared with them. I understand that a funeral or memorial is not a ceremony for the one who passed but a healing for those left behind and a show of respect for the life lived. If I touched a persons life in any way at any time along their journey, I would appreciate being told this while I am still here. Kind words at my funeral would be sweet and I'm sure appreciated by those close to me, but knowing this while still alive would give much more meaning and purpose to someone's life, knowing they made a difference and that they are loved makes a huge difference. How sad to those who for whatever reason are alone at the end of their life to leave this world believing no one will miss them. To those who are still suffering from a loss of a loved one, it was once suggested to me that I write a letter to that person, telling them everything I may not have had the chance to say when they were here. Then go somewhere alone and quiet and read the letter out loud, believing they are hearing every word and they are knowing how you feel. Then bury the letter, put it somewhere safe, or leave it at their grave. Once it's read aloud to the universe, the words are said, the sentiment is expressed and if you believe their spirit is around you or within in your heart, then yes, they have heard you. Smile and live your life everyday to make them proud and to allow them to rest in peace. I'm certain that every loved one who has gone from this world does not want to be the reason you are suffering. Cherish the time you had. Be grateful to have had them at all. And live on but never forget them. NO MAN DIES AS LONG AS HE IS REMEMBERED. Last note: no matter what your belief is about God or Heaven there is one movie that brought me comfort when I first watched it, and I have watched it hundreds of times since. Please watch: "WHAT DREAMS MAY COME" Starring ROBIN WILLIAMS. Please comment once you have seen it. Warning: it will make you cry. Pay close attention to each and every detail in that movie, it matters. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!!
