I dated a guy for almost a year and I refrained from physical contact until we kissed once after about 8 months, he wasn't the right guy and I'm glad I took my time to get to know him on a mental note instead of physical. @@MsNaturallyMary at first he was like let's move in together and was all about getting married, asked me to do it on his bday/parents wedding anniversary but I wanted to wait a little. As time went on and I met his family it became he wanted kids like his brother and less about getting married. Oh towards the end told me he was a truthful liar after I caught him in a few lies. 😰 Seemed he thought talking marriage would get me ready for the physical aspect. His mom thought I would keep her son away from her but his other family members liked me... especially his mother's dog loved me and she couldn't stand, it would try and stop me from leaving everytime I came to visit. Glad that's over.

I admire this a lot. Truthfully i battled severe depression and suicide due to having dated a guy who manipulated me into sex despite my clearing stating my boundaries that i didnt want to do so, he didn't care. I feel now unable to date in the future because of him as this was my ultimate goal, to wait till marriage until sex and preferably also not kiss until marriage as my best friend and her husband had done that as well and it brings so much peace. It has made me lose interest in marriage. But you are a great example of godliness and clearly have a great marriage for honoring God in this way.

God doesn’t place guilt or shame on us. After we repent we are forgiven. You can start over. God still has a purpose and plan for you. My husband and I didn't kiss while in our courtship as well. We courted for three years and on our wedding day was our first kiss. Actually, I wanted to kiss him prior to our wedding date but he made a vow to God and said the next woman he kisses will be at his wedding. I totally agree with this tactic, I’ve been in a relationship that i believed at the time was Christ centered (which it wasn’t) I mentioned the idea of celibacy and I was met with anger and judgement. Temptation was a bigger struggle for him than I and I found myself soon after trying to fight off some of the overpowering lustful spirits he had attached to him along with some baggage I had too. It was a hard fought battle that God led me through to get out of that toxic relationship& regain my spiritual strength. Now that I am happily in the single I realize how important your videos are and other videos like it. Keeping God at the center of your relationship matters, it saves you the heartache, and grief. Love this Mary! You're truly a light. My husband and I did the same. We were both on the same page about waiting. We dated for 3 years and were long distance for some of that time so it was so hard to not show love in that way with the distance. It got harder when we lived in the same city, of course, because our feelings for each other grew but we held onto our purity in our relationship till our wedding day. It was worth it!!! That hug struggle was real😂😂😂 and sitting in the car talking at night was another struggle. We had to avoid that too. And we're coming up on 2 years also! This is soo amazing!! I heard another woman say something similar she waited until marriage as well but she did kiss her husband prior to marrying on the cheek. She said she regretted it lol because she feels like they kinda lose a bit of respect for you when you do that. I was like wow that’s so interesting. I’m 27 waiting until marriage and now I think I’ll take kissing off the table when it comes to courting with my potential suitors. I know many of you ladies are Christian and I grew up Christian as well even I’m no longer a Christian I’m more spiritual. I would say instead of “waiting” for your husbands to find you, ladies do your due diligence to make things happen. Date multiple men at the same time while practicing abstinence or celibacy. Once one of them or a few of them propose, you pick the best one that matches your values and then you set the wedding date, remain engaged for 1 year or however long until you get married. I feel like a lot of Christian ladies tend to sit around and wait on miracles instead of doing the work to make things happen for themselves. God is always working for you but that doesn’t mean stay stagnant until further notice 😂

I definitely applaud anything done God's way because it equals His results! We often want His extraordinary benefits but unwilling to discipline ourselves and sacrifice for His sake. I do think it is possible, would like a man of God willing not to kiss until marriage. I have done it wrong but want a blessed covenant if/when God blesses me. I trust His will for my life. I believe the things that comes from that commitment is often more important than the act itself. Also, keeping the flesh down in a relationship until marriage helps you see reality not potential ultimately staying connected to God and getting His approval on the relationship. When I was 15 or so I remember watching the Duggars, and on a particular episode they were talking about how they don't kiss or anything until marriage. Back then I honestly thought it was crazy. Saving sex until marriage I understood... But no kissing??!... It's been about 11 years since then, and at this point is definitely something I want to try when I get in a relationship. I'm a bit sad that my future husband won't be my first kiss (this guy kissed me a few years ago without permission 😭), but hopefully it'll still be a special moment for us.

Interesting and very useful to know about. I have been married to my husband for 26 years and was a virgin when we met but kissing before marriage endangered that. So, I agree with the reasons not to kiss or anything else that will lead to guilt feelings.

You too are too adorable and made for one another I just can’t 🥰 congratulations on finding one another because finding someone as equally yoked is very difficult. Being older and wiser, i wished I had the mentorship and foresight to wait until I was married to do a lot of things when i was younger. Although I grew up in a Christian home and I wasn’t eager to be physical with men, the way I was taught to view my body came more from fear of getting pregnant and getting ridiculed for being ‘fast’ and not ‘your body and spirit are precious and it’s a gift from God’ type thing. Make sense? The latter would’ve made ALL the difference in the world! Although my experiences have made me the woman I am now approaching my 40s, I would’ve used my younger years to really dig into myself spiritually and emotionally first and (literally lol) worry about men later. I am married and my husband is an amazing caring man and I’m in complete gratitude for his presence in my life. However, knowing what I know now, a lot of things would’ve been different. Anywho Bless you both! (BTW my hubby and I are coming up on our two year anniversary next week 💕)

Even though not having actual sex, I’m no longer interested in doing heavy foreplay and sexual things before marriage. To me it ruins the build up and sanctity of the marriage. My Mom been telling me "When you know, you know" but how will I know if I'll know if I never have known. I have no experience when it comes to "knowing" because I've never been in a relationship so now it's like I am roaming around like a deer in headlights. A "simple" way to know is prayer & fasting, asking God for divine confirmation and/or the willingness from both parties to commit to eachother. When I met my boyfriend, it wasn't a whirlwind love at first sight romance, I learnt to love him gradually and for me that meant dying to self and choosing love instead of division every day. Basically, you don't have to know right away :)

Have you ever experienced a lot of different interests from guys and there's those who obviously doesn't have any good intentions but then there's the others that may look at you, spark up a conversation, and their actions are continuous.. you know that there's some type of interest. I don't like to get carried away because I know what a guy does with me he more than likely is doing with many women he come across. On the other hand, How would I be able to tell from all those people that "The One" God has for me is one of them ? I feel like it'll be hard for me to tell ? I sometimes become fearful because I don't want to go through the process of me even liking someone if that's not what God planned, then pick the wrong one. I like to keep my options open but I definitely have my guard up. "This one.. or this one. Maybe that one ?"

@@je39981I understand what you mean perfectly but speaking from my experience, I wasn't really looking for the one. I was newly saved and very much content with God when I met my boyfriend. What eased my mind was the fact that he didn't back/freak out when I told him marriage was the goal of whatever we were going to build in the early days and my parents acceptance. I did and still continue to pray to God for confirmations and I have gotten an answer because this is forever we're talking about. One important thing that I noticed was that it really doesn't matter what your situation is as long as you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is able to shift and work all things together for our good after all. He says: Behold, I am the Lord of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me? I mean what are the odds of meeting your lifelong partner on Instagram like these two did? Trust that God wants the best for you at all times, in everything and relax, rest in His love and His transcendental understanding. If he's not the one, trust that God is faithful to reveal this to you, you have to ask him ofcourse. Always seek His face in all things :)

I could if I was in a long distance relationship because it would be easier when you are limited to when you can see each other. LOL. But if I'd see my boyfriend all of the time I probably would have a difficult time not wanting to kiss before marriage. However, as a practicing Christian, who is practicing celibacy, if I did kiss my boyfriend it would be very limited. I would hope that I could find someone that would have the same convictions.

Because God has truly spared me from the WRONG relationships, I have yet to have a boyfriend and I actually have not EVER kissed. Please do not make a mistake, lust has been very present in my life and I am in no way an angel (the Lord is working on me). The Lord began impressing on my heart years ago not to kiss until my wedding day, and I have seriously fought and gone back and forth on that because sis did not have any standards (and the way God works with me, He wasn’t allowing a relationship to pop off in a no-standard zone).
