Mr. Trump listened to all-night talk radio for years. He heard the loonies gripe, spout their conspiracy theories, and realized that no one was speaking for those people. I am not sure that he realized at the beginning how many there were, but he eventually figured out that it was a sizable number because he went on his "birther" trip. I have listened to late-night talk radio and I never thought the number of people who could be roped in to going along with the whole "owning the libs" shtick was so large. I had met people personally who seemed dedicated to blaming other people for all their woes without having a shred of evidence that those people were responsible, but I had no idea that they made up 40% of the adult population of the USA. For myself, I am a Democrat. I do not think I have ever in my 72 years said that Nixon or Reagan or Bush 1 and 2, or even Trump were responsible for a problem in my life. I criticized their policies for hurting the USA as a whole, but never me personally. What on earth does the president of the United States have to do with whether or not I am having a conflict with my boss over working hours? And for those who want to president to control prices, are you all communists? That's what you get in a communist country. Understand that your salary will also be controlled, no matter how hard you work. Like that idea? By the way, y'all remember Nixon's wage and price controls? I do. Popular at first, until people figured out that "wage and price" included wages. And then, unless you are for an economy centrally controlled permanently, which Nixon, of course, wasn't, you have to lift the controls at some point. Ta-dah! Inflation returned! Didn't work and wouldn't work if Biden and the Democrats tried it.

That it costs little to provide for your tiny population, does not mean America does not spend monies on it's citizens....it costs more. Some states do provide free education. Some states provide better healthcare for it's residents than others. Some states are rural and do not have large manufacturing industries...unions are not popular... whereas...other states do have large manufacturing industries therefore have successful/powerful unions. In other words...your idea of American programs, benefits,services, being the same in every state, is incorrect.

As a foreign lawyer, I have been following this trial as closely as most US citizens would do. With respect, it is my opinion that in Judge Juan Merchan has been the very epitome of what one expects in a judge. He has presided with a firm and fair hand, without the slightest hint of bias of any form. Trump can be very thankful that he has come before this Judge! Where he comes from matters not the slightest. Trump has exposed himself in this trial for what he is and I am quite sure that this is obvious to the Jury.

It matters because the jury gets to hear what the judge wants them to hear. The problem is that Trump is claiming that it's unfair. No judge would allow a legal expert in the courtroom. That is a motion as it is a mistrial if the expert says the wrong thing. This is the purpose of jury instructions. Costello was getting interrupted because the man claimed that he was looking for an attorney client relationship with Cohen, and he was breaking it on the stand. There was no crime between Cohen and Costello. Costello was committing a fraud, however, as he was not trying to set up an attorney client relationship according to the e-mails that he wrote. That means Costello cannot testify about the fraud that he was perpetrating. He gets to be an attorney as he purported that he was.
