If there was a provision to give raises to congress in the bill, which is what's been reported other than in this story, then the bill should not have been passed based on that alone. If you want to fix all of this, pass a bill that limits the deficit to a small percentage of GDP with the penalty of every sitting member of congress being ineligible for re-election if the percentage is exceeded. Then overturn citizens united. Done!
