Whenever you speak to someone who doesn't believe in the separation of church and state, and ask them about the establishment clause, they often seem to be under the impression that it says that "government can't establish a religion". Within the establishment clause, the verb is not "establish". Establishment is a noun. The verb in question is "respecting". Congress shall pass no law *respecting* an establishment of religion. What does the word respect mean in this instance? A simple dictionary definition gives us "have due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of". So no law can be made that has due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of an establishment of religion. This is a simple, plain English, textualist reading of the amendment. Anyone who doesn't believe in the separation of church and state is either illiterate, or does not value our Constitution.

Just a quibble. Maybe somebody should just point out that, as an arbiter of facts, he shouldn't be spouting his opinions, which are not based on facts. Religion is an opinion because it is based on nothing factual.

If Faith organizations want to participate in politics, then they need to lose their tax exempt status. Tax code 501 specifically states tax exempt organizations cannot participate in political activities.

Our "Founding Fathers" wanted total Separation of Church from State! It is unfortunate that no one seems to remember the reasons they insisted & mutually agreed to support formal documents like the Establishment Clause of the Constitution !

The god idea itself is the problem. It isn't trying to design the perfect acceptable Christianity. Acceptable religion doesn't work. Our secular ideology is what tamed the Christians. Unfortunately, our secular ideology isn't enough. The god idea itself needs to be heavily ridiculed and rejected in every fashion. The god idea is responsible for death and destruction every single day and idiots like Joe Biden have blood on their hands for pushing Christianity. Those who vote for Christians are lacking courage. Those who don't ridicule the god idea all the time are cowards. There is no such thing as moderate Christianity. Either you force children into it or it doesn't work. You must force children to believe first, then seek to find evidence to support said belief. If evidence is not available, such as with the crazy god idea, substitute faith and believe anything you wish is real and cowards will not tell you why the god idea is ridiculous.

Some people really think Separation of Church and State means banning prayers in schools. No, it means banning School-Mandated Prayers, or forceful Prayers. Students and Staff can still pray and perform religious activities, as long as they don't force it on others.
