1sgt charles king was my 1sgt in Iraq and he was the greatest man and leader that i have ever meet and had the honor to work with I still have the shoulder holster that he gave me because he thought that i didn't have one and that i was carrying my side arm in my cargo pocket when it was in my hip holster under my blouse. He always looked out for his troops. When he went to the supply sgt at battalion it was always for something for the troops never for him self. Top was the greatest man that i have ever meet and miss him so much Dana I'm sorry i never got the pleasure of meeting you but top was not only a brother but more of a father figure to all of us and we all miss him dearly thank you for keeping his memory living on and i know jordan will be a wonderful man cause if i know top he put a lot of life values in that journal that he followed day to day. Mainly if you can help someone do so.

To some people, patriotism is nothing more than empty, childish gestures that show a misunderstanding of America rather than honoring it. Patriotism is about sacrifice and our shared humanity, while the best of America is about kindness, hospitality and benevolence. Patriotism has nothing to do with waving a flag or standing for the National anthem. Because those are all things you can literally train a mon.key to do. And if you can train a mon.key to do it, it's probably not patriotic at all. True Patriotism is about service, shared sacrifice, unselfishness, and caring about what happens to your fellow American citizens. Because it matters. Semper Fi..

So powerful. Wow. Our toddler is 4 in Jan 2021, and I recorded conversations with my grandpa, who was my best relationship. He, too, was a stand up guy and veteran of the coast guard. Bless this story. Bless you and thank you for sharing , in spite of your grief. Much love and respect. I used to love sitting and hearing my grandpa tell about his Service stories. May All their memories be a sweet blessing.

Trump cared about AshliBabbitt and the other insurrectionists about as much as JimJones cared about his flock. So Trump tells hisCult to storm the Capitol, which they do. He also tells them to fight like he//, which they do. He even said he'd be there with them, which he wasn't. And then he refuses to pardon any of them. I mean It's almost as if he set them up. 🤣 And whileBabbitt was gettingShot in theNeck, while wearing a flag emblazoned with the name of a man who couldn't care less about her, that very same man was back in the safety of the White House, watching with glee as the chaos andViolence that he himself incited unfolded on live TV. And he reveled in it.

What happened to the 9 year old daughter??? The movie never depicted how his relationship with his daughter that was present 9 years before Jordan. Military Men are the biggest cheaters and I just can't believe this man was so holy. I saw this as a lonely Black Woman that was so desperate for a Man that she tried to Build One. I was a Military Spouse for over 17 years and he's still alive and well and we share 3 son's together and he was always able to get leave to come home from deployments so I find that this movie kinda embellished the lifestyle of the Military Family's. How did Jordan vote out Mollotto ??? The movie never spoke on that or did I miss something? Who was Charles's Parents ? What did they look like or was The Apartment doorman Jordan's Real Dad 🤣 ? That would be more logical than this phony movie.

Yes I thought the same. I wondered about the relationship with his daughter. In terms of the movie the focus is on their relationship and their journey and with any movie its there to enterain and embellish.

Movies don’t always depict everything. Everything that you mentioned that was missing out of the movie is in the book, titled: A Journal for Jordan. She talks extensively about her upbringing, Charles’s upbringing, his previous marriage, his daughter from his previous marriage, her parents, his parents and his sister as well. As far as what they look like, she even has pictures of her parents, his parents, his sister, her stepdaughter, their son Jordan, etc. That’s ALL included in the book. If a movie being made, is based off of a true story, nine times of ten there’s a book already published and made available to the general public before the movie even comes out. So if I wanted to go see a movie (based on true events) then I almost always try to find, purchase and READ the book first. Therefore, I can see and tell what was missing or not featured in the movie. Everyone’s military family story’s are not the same. My father was also in the Armed Forces, served 28 years and he was not always able to get leave from deployment to come home when he wanted to or even when we wanted to. So I understand when she states that he could barely come home, so they could spend quality time together, especially during their courtship. My family’s military life & story is different from yours, I’m sure, just as yours is different from hers. No need to bash this woman, her words or the movie. Reading is fundamental. Be blessed everyone.
