@@bobevans9955 Providing photo identification is a way to check the date of birth. The date of birth is part of the registration process, and as such, the identification is nonsensical. Businesses ask for identification because they have no other method of actually checking who someone is. The government requires signatures while getting those identifications because then they have a signature specimen that is relatively new. The government uses signatures for most everything no matter the value, but for some reason, this is not good enough to determine identity for voting in Republican states, but there have been myriad cases against states where the form of identification is not evenly available to voters. It's almost like that legislative burden isn't designed for identification, but a means of selecting who gets to vote. It's guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar or giving a literacy test to some voters. Your best comeback is that you now need a real ID to get on a plane, go into a campground, or enter a military base, but my best comeback is that that is a relatively new phenomenon since 2005, and it's so new that it isn't even required until next year.
