Paul on the handle there is a piece of metal on some pots that slides forward and spreads the handle to stabilize it. Might work to stop the problem.

Simple foods are always the best Paul, looked good that, I've never thought of adding to other soups to make a different one. That bread looked excellent. The MSR pot is a great size. See ya soon mate. Lee

Yeah the simple things in life make it! The bread is nice, i will try to make it when i'm out! Might be a challenge tho. Loving the pot Lee ;)

Just wondering will a Trangia 27 fit inside the pot? probably not height wise but would be handy as you say it fits where the 27 frypan goes.
@PaulBissekerBushcraft6 күн бұрын
The 27 won't fit inside it.

Happy new year Paul! I like Tatonka Kettle more than MSR stowaway because the lid is actually a frying pan and has a bail that allows you to hang the pot over a camp fire.

Jay’s a keeper. I really enjoy seeing men cooperate and anticipate what the other needs. Shows character. And good taste, in this case. I could almost taste your bread and soup. A month of January vegetarianism probably wouldn’t do any harm, heh?

Looks a quality pot that mate, my fav pan is the zebra lunchbox also so it's just a bigger version of that. That sauce sounded hot, your bread looks really nice too mate, cracking location by the lake there, nice idea with the soup and beans, think I'll be adding that pot to my wishlist now. Cheers Paul, all the best mate 👍👍

Nice one Paul! Lovely location even if you both looked a bit cold 🥶 Another good cooking idea - you’ll have to do a recipe book definitely. I’ve got the Zebra lunchbox. I love it! Like you, the movement in the folding handle worries me a bit, but I’ve had no problems so far. I guess in reality, most of the time you wouldn’t be turning it over enough for it to fold. I tried frying in the top plate/dish thing that comes with it last week - that was interesting 😄 - think it’s a bit small for that really. I was actually looking at the MSR version at the weekend. The handle on the lid is different - one solid piece instead of two moving loops. Think I prefer the two loops. Good to see Jay back again - seems a nice guy and gives you another challenge to rise to in the cooking dept! Happy New Year Mate! - Mark.

Nice video Paul, I’ve got the same pot, and I’ve found the MSR 775ml pot which is 14 cm nests inside with its lid on, and the MSR 775ml can nest the Trangia 27 kettle inside better with lid on also, better than the Zebra lunchbox imho. atb chiefy

I was thinking of getting one of those Halulite Pressure Cooker's for camping and was wondering if you've used anything like it before whilst outdoors?
@PaulBissekerBushcraft4 жыл бұрын
I have a prestige pressure cooker at home. I didn't know they did a camping one tbh. I just watched a video on one. Looks good mate, i have done Beef Bourguignon in mine it makes a great stew. If you get one i would like to see the photos when your'e out.

1.50: Paul, I'm obviously missing a trick! Despite cleaning my Zebra pots, each time I use them, the bases are black - nothing seems to shift Tragia 'soot' easily. A quick video, please, on whatever technique you are employing. Cheers.

I made the decision after cooking the Paneer curry in the 18cm frying pan (Trangia 27 Series) i found it to low on the sides to really get a proper meal out of it. I will try this pot on the 27 series.

I see you ran into the random wandering vegetarian again. Scorpion named spice is sure a clue to the content. That was surely a lovely spot for a meal!!!

He is following me around Patricia. I have had hot sauce from him before called Reaper! That's why i was hesitant to use a lot. I know if it comes in a small container it's deadly!!!
