Any chance the poles are compatible with the backpacking hubba and might be available separately? Love my current tent, and it is great for bikepacking, but the poles are a bit long to fit nicely on my frame. It is only three years old though, and it's a bit hard to justify a full new tent currently

Looks great. I have only good experience with msr tents. But I have a suggestion/wish. Make a optional "cold weather" rainfly with storm flaps. You know, for the Norwegian summer..

would be very cool if there was an opportunity to buy separately or to choose when buying what size you need poles. either as for backpack version or as for bikepack version

We can see why folks would want this! However, the material used on the pole sets is different between the BikePacking tent and our regular Hubba Hubba. The difference in material causes the poles to arc differently and the tent body has to be designed to fit around it. So in short, the pole sets are not interchangeable with each other - the tent body will not fit correctly otherwise.

Ok, that looks cool particularly with the handlebar bag and shorter pole length when dismantled. But alas I will stay with my Hubba Hubba NX2 while bikepacking

Oh no, I have the Hubba Hubba NX1 and NX2, and I really wished they had the extra compartments and the hanging lines back then. I do mainly biketouring/ packing and these once seem to be a bit lighter?

What's the life expectancy of the waterproofing? If I buy a waterproof jacket with a guaranteed waterproof specification of say 18,000hd I would expect that jacket to last 5 years plus without the waterproofing failing, can MSR provide those warranties so that it is guaranteed fit for purpose. In my humble opinion, if I only use a tent twice a year, its waterproof integrity should be more than capable of lasting ten years. Would be good if MSR backed their products up with a lifetime warranty.

Our Bikepacking tents are compatible with our Universal Footprint which are sold separately. To find the specific size footprint that's compatible (depending on the 1p or 2p tent), just check out the product page for more information.

For the shorter pole sections needed on a bikepacking tent we found the DAC poles to be preferable!

Why the mesh roof again? This looks like old HP version that was too hot in summers and dripped moisture from the fly into the trnt through the roof mesh

What is the difference between this and the euro version? It seems like the exact same promotional video, and the exact same product photos on their respective store pages.

The Hubba Hubba Bikepacking Tent is the same globally. The reason for separate videos is because our tent product offering has small differences between the two markets and the narration in the video draws comparisons between products that are in line for it's corresponding market.

@@evanm.2300 there is no difference, the products this tent is compared to are different since the product offerings in the US and Europe are different. Metric is also listed first in the EU version.

why aren t you telling us that the floor fabric of the bikepack version is only 20D thick vs. the backpack version of the same tent is 30D! That is kind of a dealbreaker for some.
