Im Waiting for an FY2 post after plab. Can i apply for MRSA exam before getting the FY2 job with just gmc registration number?

MSRA is not a standalone exam like PLAB. You only get invited to sit it after your application for specialty training is longlisted - the eligibility for each specialty is slightly different, but you will need 2 years clinical experience and GMC registration by the start of training, and Foundation competences signed off. You cannot directly apply for MSRA, it is a recruitment assessment. You apply for specialty training and get invited to book the exam after being longlisted. It is used as part of recruitment to enter postgraduate / specialty training for various specialties. The eligibility criteria is different for each specialty.
