I don't have a problem with things being made in China, but the price needs to reflect that fact. Manufacturing in China is hella cheap, so don't insult our intelligence by charging over 50 bucks for a palette that's made there. You're ripping us off and we know it.

I love that you do swatches with a brush. It gives a much more realistic view on the colour pigmentation. Too many times I have been fooled by the oils on peoples fingers doing all the work for the eye shadow. What is the point of buying all the brushes that we do if you are forced to then apply your eye shadows with your fingers? lol You always let the truth speak through viewing. Someone could put your video on mute and you would get your point across because people are allowed to SEE it working or not working. Thanks!

Thank you SO MUCH for pointing out that finger swatches aren't always accurate (if they even ever are), one of my biggest pet peeves is when people say the quality is amazing because the swatches with their fingers are amazing or when they say a shadow is terrible because they didn't swatch perfectly, without showing the brush swatch or the way the eyeshadows act when applied on the eyes, really appreciate the realness 👍

I´ve had a few sleek palettes for some time and I can tell you that even though they are very pigmented their quality is quite bad. The shadows are not easy to blend, they are very dusty and they are another crap made in China. I don´t recommend them. I´m not Stephanie but I hope my opinion and experience with these eye shadows help.

I just received mine took more than a month to get to me. I do have a APO but typically thighs come in 2 weeks. I am also disappointed in this palette and also said it was too expensive. tried to find the comment/thread where someone was saying the reason the eyeshadow wasn't showing up was because of the brush you used. I had asked what type of brush was used because I wanted to try the same exact application with my MUG & MAC shadows to see if they also appeared patchy & shitty.. I'd much rather know the truth if it's not good. I'm Chinese and I like your reviews. But I'm offended when most of the times people say that they are made in China equals bad quality. That really pisses me off. Yes there are many products produced in China that are bad quality but they are also extremely cheap. If you want to better quality you should pay more and you get good quality stuff with less money that you would spend for example in the U.S. Many company in the US and Europe contact Chinese factory in order to lower their cost , and they set the price so low for the factory that they can't produce high quality stuff and the workers their have bad working condition. I guess what I want to say is that it hurts that people automatically connect bad products with China , it's not all our fault

It's not YOUR fault at all. This all goes to government regulations. American companies can go over to China and take advantage of the lax production and labor laws and save tons of money by exploiting Chinese workers. No one means to be offensive towards Chinese people. It is well known that China needs to step up their production laws and do better to protect their workers and the environment.

China is such a big country with so many people and the problems are just much more complicated. these people willingly work there although even though its bad for their health because if they dont, they wont have any job at all. There are still so many poor people in china that their priorities are being able to feed themselves. But i must say that in the past decades the life of chinese people have improved, just hoping that it would get much better real soon.

What's your opinion on the Lorac pro palettes? Other youtubers, like those who would love this Violet Voss palette, would say the Lorac palettes are pigmented, but they don't swatch like you swatch! My reality is crumbling and I don't know what's real anymore! :P Also, can you do a vid on your favorite affordable eyeshadows! Like the cheapest possible, but still good in your opinion. Thank you!

+Mary Elizabeth Parker I own the Lorac Pro palette and love it. I have honestly never heard a bad review on it. And out of the few palettes that I own, I believe it to be the highest quality. The Lorac Pro line has a good reputation, but their other eyeshadows palettes don't!

+Mary Elizabeth Parker I'm not sure of her opinion on Lorac, but I love their shadows. I've been using the mega pro 2 like crazy. As soon as I noticed the violet Voss I thought it looked like a Lorac knock off. And by the looks of those swatches i was right. IMO Lorac holds up to their prices. I try buying most of my stuff from Ulta too, or places that allow you to return if you don't like it. I've seen a couple people claim they have a harder time working with some of Lorac mattes, but I never have issues.

Yes, I like my Lorac shadows better than my UD palettes too. The shimmers are so much creamier.

+Mary Elizabeth Parker I have the Lorac Pro 2 and I love it. I have gotten several different looks out of the palette and have no complaints.

I can't get with that font though. It doesn't feel luxurious or cohesive to me. I lot of the font doesn't fit below the pans either. Is that weird to think about? lol

I just wanted to thank you for explaining and educating us about ingredients when you review products. To me, it's more important than just a pretty package or just pretty colors...and, in my humble opinion, not many people seems to "care" or pay attention to it.... I like reviews that include performance/durability throught the day. Again, thanks!

I almost got this palette and I'm so glad I didn't. Finger swatches made the palette look SO nice!! But after seeing its performance here, I don't think I'll be spending my hard earned money on this palette. I'll just save my money for the new Kat Von D Palette that's coming out ;) Speaking of, I would love if you would review the Metal Matte palette :)
