Hi Maciej, well done getting that large log out of the water, you deserve a nice drink and shower after all that hard work 🤣 have you done this dam before, it looked a little familiar? Hope all is well with you and your family my friend, be well and be safe. 🦘🇦🇺🦫❤️❤️
@msTECH862 жыл бұрын
Hello friend🙂❤️ I know your supposition that I already added an episode with this dam. The case is as follows, that during one working day, for example, on this stream, we removed twelve beaver there Hence you probably feel that you have seen a similar place in my episodes before But don't worry, I have folders with recorded episodes carefully sorted on the disk, and sections are exactly numbered, so no worries🙂 Out of my respect for you, I would never do it ❤️❤️ The only thing is when I add the same dam, then I name the section for example 53.1 or 53.2 etc ... But you probably already noticed that 🙂 I wrote a fairly extensive explanation😁😁 But maybe someone will use this comment🙂 Mary, we are fine, we've had a bit of work around the house these last days. But this week we're back to normal work💪🙂🦫 How was your weekend, are you alright? Best regards, your Maciej and his family ❤️❤️

@@msTECH86 thanks for answering my question Maciej. I had a fairly quiet weekend, planted some Marigolds out the front of my house 🏡 we are now in Spring so my garden should look good. Today I meet my friend for coffee and a chat 😊🇦🇺🦘❤️

So you remove the beaver dam, let all the water out, and the moment you leave the beavers start rebuilding the dam again. Interesting approach to job security, but hey whatever works I guess.
@msTECH862 жыл бұрын
Hi. Not exactly like that. After removing the dam, I return to the same place after two weeks and if the dam is rebuilt, I remove it under the same assignment and pay. Besides, it seems to me that you do not know what damage beavers cause in the stream bed, if their dam is left for more than six months. Therefore, it is important to do this regularly every few months. Well, unless they sometimes move to another place, then the problem disappears.
@andrewjones-productions2 жыл бұрын
@@msTECH86 This video illustrates well what you mean by stream bed damage. Not only the bed, but the banks of the streams become weak too I imagine as no vegetation can grow and without roots, the surrounding land becomes also weak and causes erosion. I understand that the beavers and their dams are important ecologically, but I can absolutely understand that keeping them moving around to different locations makes a lot of sense. Humans tend to forget that we are part of the environment too, so our clearing up of their dams is also important in striking the balance in nature. In short, we work with the beavers/nature and not against them as many may wrongly think.

I think you should get you a Machete. They come with mnife sheaths.. or you can make one. I'm short. So i like the shorter ones..especally Ontario Knife " made in Canada. But if you make a sling you can carry it over your shoulder or on a belt. I made a leather sheave.. that way it doesn't cut your waders.. but would be good for cutting the branches and limbs ..out of your way. I was wondering. You don't seem to worry about snakes..So ..no snakes? Or Nopoisnous Snakes? We have all kinds of deadly snakes. Water moccasins are our poisonous (fresh water)snakes...Oh..and alligators. All our swimming holes have one or two of them.And now we have to watch forAnacondas....because Stupid people let them go...in our swamps Love all your waterways..and that black dirt looks like it would be good growing dirt. You did the best..again. always so efficient.. back to Natural ..clear cut waterways.🐊

I used to trap beaver, but the price of fur is so low it's not worth trapping beaver, plus beaver ponds are very good for the other water living animals, like muskrats and mink and raccoons and deer feed on the edges of the ponds and brook trout like a beaver ponds as it's cover for them and more food, if the beaver aren't bothering anything that is hurting farmers fields or other construction of backing up water ways, the beaver are here for a reason, or God wouldn't have put them on the earth, they were here before us and they have families just like you and everyone who lives on the earth, I think get rid of you would be a better idea. Poor manuals can't even have a home, you got to destroy everything. Worthless S.O.B.s
