Two things about the banlist : - Good bans, but not enough. The meta will hardly change - Electrumite still banned. Pend players still can't play their pet decks that die to anti spell fragrance. Thank god Master Duel exists. 😂

@@MSTTV murder everything doesnt make the game… fun? And also doesnt solve the fundament issue the tcg have right now and that is a constant bad cycle of expensive tier 0 formats. New 1 card combo decks will always dominate it as t0 as decks in tcg format doesnt have the tools to challenge the new one as everything is banned in tcg. Ocg solved this by creating 2 extra maxx c to help going second as these super strong one card combo decks are created with maxx c in mind. So in tcg it always have this unfun and expensive situation as there is no safe limit(maxx c) to control it. Ocg way for me atleast make the game far more diverse to play and more decks are playable

Interesting hits. SE taking the biggest hits as it should, but this just might kill pure SE. Obviously SEFS is gonna be powerful but somewhat inconsistent. I think yubel takes the top spot and SEFS might be 2nd with tenpai in 3rd. We'll see what happens and where things go

Branded Fusion to 1 was something I was definitely not expecting. Fiendsmith end boards are gonna be weaker with Lacrima and Appo gone which is nice. And now my Tenpai deck has 2 more spaces for fun stuff. It's not an ideal ban list, it's perhaps not even a particularly good one lol, but it's not offensively shit which is nice.

I'm reading a lot of comments here about how this didn't do anything and that this is a "nothingburger" but this was probably the best list and I'll tell you why. They gave all of the meta decks massive choke points now. Instead of now " feeling bad" because you used 3 handtraps, and your opponent kept playing; you now get rewarded for properly slowing them down and/or blowing up their weaker board. ALSO Konami didn't completely kill the meta decks, so people invested in them can still enjoy them. I think this banlist was difficult and important to please everyone with and this went right down the middle as best they could without "choosing sides" Lets give it a format, let these new cards and archetypes arrive, and then we can judge konami if they make us wait this long again.

I feel conflicted over Eva. I know it's good, but recently Drytrons got Drytron Nu II which restricts them to only ritual summoning Machine ritual monsters. Nu II gave Drytrons a way to perform a 1 card combo, which is unheard of for ritual decks. Is Eva more important than Drytron Nu II is my question?

List didn't alter the game drastically, it only made snake eyes have less legs and fiendsmith engine a bit easier to stop, but considering how many extenders you can have hit does nothing. Other than that, Yubel & Tenpai needed to be toned down more so other lesser decks could have a fighting chance.

These are the things I Truly want Konami to implement and improve upon for the tcg. Printing methods for the core sets and side sets that mirror the OCG. Scheduled banlist like the OCG. Full art cards and better prize support possibly use full art cards or championship exclusive rarities of staple cards for prizing. Less power creep over all. Like reducing the power creep by at least half as much as they have been doing. To give older decks more viable power. More legacy support on a faster basis for fan favorite archetypes. Better time rules, and more support for time wizard formats and alternative formats. Also bring back Konami official cloth mats for tournament prize support. No more tier 0 formats. Diverse meta’s and one practical way that Konami could implement this is once a year or once every 2 years we need to do a dualist alliance or power of the elements style set that introduces multiple viable tier 1 and tier 2 brand new archetypes with dynamic play styles and then follow up that core set with at least 3 consecutive sets that add support for those archetypes and then introduce a Rise of the dualist type of set that releases great new staplese cards for the game. Also print new tier 1-2 structure decks close to the release of that critical new core set for budget players, and a way for new players to easily get into the game. That way we get a rotation of archetypes with new support and new staples that are powerful and needed.

I’ll try to articulate why I think this banlist sucks: For starters, it NEEDED to absolutely obliterate the top decks. People are fed up with snake eyes, it needed to die, and it didn’t. Consistency hits, lacrima and apollousa banned are nowhere near enough. flamberge should’ve been gone. Tenpai is still a huge issue. Yes, summoning to 1 makes it less likely for them to OTK in the most braindead way possible, and prosp to 1 makes it even less likely, but they still have stuff like paidra and terraforming to make it happen. They did a good thing by banning calamity, but sanctifire is… still… here? Why the fuck did they do this? Why limiting brafu to 1 when they can still access it in many different ways? Why can they still do that shitty puppet lock? Skill drain to ONE? Really? White forest Runick was not hit at all, and they basically win off of skill drain. This banlist was supposed to be a nuke to the current meta, and it hardly tickled the most relevant decks. I’ll happily stick to playing casually with friends and, maybe, do a couple locals.

@deanoxd968 I don't just depend on gimmick, but it is a win con. I have other techs I like to use. The deck itself doesn't need to depend on gimmick puppet, but it's honestly Bice to have, and I'd rather be able to use it then not. Considering how much stronger the main Meta decks are. Plus it let's me use one of my other pet deck boss monsters. Learning to play the deck without Sanctifire and Gimmick is important, teaches you other lines etc.

@@Drelly207 RDA apart from an unsearchable card in "Burning Soul" can't even Calamity lock during the opponent's turn. They relied on Bystials or Centurion. This was a missed opportunity to not errata King Calamity during the structure deck reprint, making it similar to Cosmic Quasar Dragon that was released in the same set as Crimson Dragon, so King Calamity wouldn't be cheated out by the former.

Konami gets that shifter can make some decks better and counter their tier 0 deck, giving other deck some chance. That's why left it at 3, I expect at most semi, but good they didn't even do that. More decks that can use it coming soon too so that make sense. Skill drain to 1 sadge. I guess OCG drain already at 1 too anyway iirc, I forgot MD. So fine I guess. Lacrima ban kinda interesting, didn't expect they hit it this fast, wonder if it hit fiendsmith hard enough, prob not. Apo Beatrice and calamity is ban lot ppl already expected. Snake eyes lack hits tho, only poplar and ash limit. Would've be nice if they hit more or ban some cards. Still tier 0 especially with azamina coming soon. Grass is interesting, I don't think at 1 make much difference tho? If semi maybe.

Branded Fusion was a spiteful hit and nothing else. I doubt it even has anything to do with Albion. Konami and Reddit got super ticked off after the one of the European Nationals, when Branded won that event. This hit was because of that, and no one can convince me otherwise. Konami knows good and well the floodgate Monsters shouldn't exist on principle. Pot of Prosperity hit is crap. Majority of top Decks weren't running it, and anyone that comes at me with "It makes Decks good that have no business being good": Who the Hell are you to determine which Decks should be playable, you biased, arrogant asshole? Yes, I have heard that argument more than once. It infuriates me. Overall, the entire list feels like a giant push towards Azamina. Flamberge should have gone, Puppet, Ido, and the other floodgate Monsters should have gone.

I don’t think it’s fair to say nothing got hit, but it is a fair point to say not enough got hit to satisfy many players.

@@Deathbane_123 the apollousa ban, despite it being a necesary hit, is not going to stop the current meta threats from adapting their boards to make do without it. It also arguably makes nibiru even sackier since you dont necesarily need to open other hand traps with it. The only thing that matters about the lacrima ban is the dumb burn it does during time. Snake eye players were already moving on to desirae lines that help extend their combo by negating their own fire princess. Yubel was summoning air eater instead anyways. Lacrima is also going to be replaced with the arguably even more broken duke of demise once its imported. The Beatrice hit promotes better gameplay and was necesary, but the decks that abused it didnt really need it and can just play something like wave king ceasar instead. Calamity is another toxic card for sure and deserves the ban but the decks that currently play it just suck in general, so it doesnt matter in the big picture. As far as limits go, they did a few consistency hits for snake eyes and yubel that can easily be replaced with other starters. Some limits for gimmick puppet to prevent an otherwise bad deck from Ftking people who dont expect it. A non-sensical hit to branded fusion instead of just banning sanctifire or even the gimmick puppet lock. The skill drain limit would have been more relevant if there werent many other floodgates that can replace it. The semis and unlimits?almost none of them did anything at 1, they're are not going to magically become better at 2 or 3 copies. The list somehow manages fail in terms of shifting the meta despite having many inclusions in it. It feels exactly like were in the Eternal format 2.0, and they even brought colossus @2 copies to remind us of it, almost like konami has a twisted sense of humor.

Its kinda strange but branded fusion to one is kinda perfect. Makes it more of a dragon combo deck kinda.
