Thanks Jim, I called Parks Tasmania prior to my hike to consult with them. They told me not to be up on the exposed sections during the storm, hence the decision. Best of luck on your hike!

Thanks for the video, how tough was the notch ? its hard to know how to tackle just that bit ? Ropes required ? any advice helpful thanks

Hi Brett, I did not find it too difficult, but I also rock climb. I found there were lots of handholds, the main reason to take a rope would just be to haul your bag up after you if you were uncomfortable climbing with it on.
