great video! have you ever hiked shunemunk mountains to the megaliths in Mountainville? I feel like you may enjoy it. Ive hiked it a few times and i love it, mostly for the varied terrain. Keep up the videos!

i live in Mahopac. its about 40 mins north of me. I do a lot of hiking and i have to say, in terms of the journey, its one of the most interesting ones I found near me. Typically, ill be in the Catskills or further up north. The view is nice, not the best ever but its not a heavily trafficked trail, at least not from what i have experienced. The terrain is absolutely beautiful and varied. From beautiful meadows, to dense woods, to some great rocky scrambles, and for a good portion, you are above treeline, maneuvering across rocks. It has a similar feel to Gertrude's nose trail at lake minnewaska (if your familiar), but i also find it reminds me a lot of New Hampshire hikes.
