Mt Bonnell, Austin, TX (4K)

Mount Bonnell is a prominent point alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River in Austin, Texas. The mount provides a vista for viewing the city of Austin, Lake Austin, and the surrounding hills. It is downstream from Lake Travis (see last year's video from there) and upstream from where the Colorado river goes right through downtown Austin (as shown in my video from last month).
One of the more interesting things about the Mount Bonnell area, is how the houses have been built both along the ridge line and below the ridge along the river.

Active day on the river. The homes along the bank have an excellent view. Hopefully the river doesn't ever rise ! Good day for flying. Thanks for sharing !

That whole river is a sequence of dams... 1 big one upstream that you can see in my Lake Travis video from last year and a number of smaller ones. So I figure the water level is pretty tightly controlled by the ones downstream from here.
