His guitar is tuned in Open C (almost sure), the chords would be Dm F C, and the Pre-Chorus/Chorus is Dm Am C G You can play it in standard, just won't sound exactly like it (and I prefer to play the F7M instead of F in standard tuning but that's of your choice)

Love this song , but the line “don’t get cheated kid just swing from your heels” aggravates the hell out of me. You CANNOT put any power into any swing (punch, golf, baseball, axe, etc) from your heels. If u swing from your heels u will def get cheated. I change it to hips when I sing along.

It's a baseball term. 'Swinging from you heels' basically means don't get fooled by a curveball-if you do you end up swinging from your toes ;)
