@@The_Dude_420 You could not be more wrong, take it from an old person. My nephew is truly living the dream and he is doing it with very little money. I on the other hand started to live the dream but backed off because I thought I too needed to collect stuff, I could have not been more wrong.

It's a fact that more you will have things (and money), more you will be able to live intense moments. How would you ride the Kilimanjaro without having collected things before that ? Bikes are not free. Flights are not free. Life is not free (in our society). Ask to a homeless if he is enjoying his life... People who tell you they enjoy their life with nothing don't see that they have already many things.

Back in late 90s my dad attempted to climb kilimanjaro, because my mums always wanted to climb it. Unfortunately she passed away but her ashes are on top. My old man was under a 1000ft from the summit before he had to come back down otherwise he wouldn't be here today. But someone my dad made friends with on the trip completed the task. altitude sickness is no joke!

Damn… Hans “No Way” Rey. When I was 11 at World Cup in Mammoth Hans signed my poster, and Libor Karas actually let me ride one of his 20” custom red Cannondale trials bikes. After all of that though… Ot Pi from Monty ended up winning like always back then lol… Such fond memories.

Dear Hans: What a huge tour de force! Congrats to you, Danny and Gerhard. Hans, you have been a big inspiration for me. Because of you I bought a GT Zaskar and rode with it offroad and many years as a bike messenger. I experienced extremely good moments on GT Bicycles. For me the best brand on the planet. The brand with a big cult factor - because of you. Please tell GT to reproduce this classic Zaskar Aluminium silver. Many fans would be really amazed. Great that you give bicycles to the African people and a big inspiration to the world. You are a real legend.

Brilliant film. Your cinematography was excellent and really helped to capture the incredible landscapes! I know that it was not easy riding the first parts from the top. There is still very little oxygen to be doing hard riding even if it is downhill! I climbed Kilimanjaro in 1991 and was happy to see it hasn't changed much. I really remember seeing Kibo hut in the distance and thinking it was closer than it was. The air is so clear up there that it is hard to judge distance. When I was there we walked across ice all the way between Gilman's Point and the summit. It was treacherous because it got very slippery when the sun warmed the air and the surface of the ice. It is wonderful what you are doing with the bicycle donations. I am currently sponsoring two young girls in Kenya to go to school in a remote village. It is very satisfying knowing that you are helping people to help themselves. Cheers from Costa Rica! Come and ride here! It's amazing!

Still a beast and such an inspiring person with great bike skills and his great social effort. Keep up the good work. And also congrats to Gerhard, who also did conquer both summits and descents... And last but not least THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing it all without e-bikes!!!!! ***** Collect moments, not things*****

That night ascent brought back painful memories. My wife and I climbed Kili in Sept 2010. That final ascent was easily the most difficult experience of my life. My wife was essentially unconscious through it until we reached Stella Point. We got to Stella Point just before sunrise. Our porters handed out the greatest cups of tea I have ever had (I am a coffee drinker). After that, it was a leisurely stroll up to Uruhu Peak. I sure wish we had bikes for the descent. That would have been a blast. Thanks for the video.

What a film. One of my memories of my childhood was looking out the window of a DC 10 on the biggest sand pit in the world and being told it was the Sahara Desert. Having been born in Africa I feel a certain belonging to films from my homeland and this was up there with the best. What an inspiration and Danny your a legend following in a whole line of Scots explorers to Africa and Missionary's like my now departed Dad.

Hans, many years ago (I think it was late 90's) I met you at a Trial Show in Laax Switzerland. It was THAT Moment of Inspiration for me. I bought your book "No Way - Bike Trial Tricks" and I started working on my trial skills. I'll never forget these countless hours standing in front of my tv, watching "Vom Winde verweht" and working on my balance... I hate this film since then, but it was worth it! :) I loved my GT Zaskar LE and thanks to you and this Incredible bike I had the time of my life! btw: if you should have a frame laying around from 1996 size M I would pay nearly everything for it!
