It is pretty traditional for Asians to have bedroom downstairs since most of us live with our elderly parents/grandparents.

soo about the kitchen cabinets, in traditional houses they didnt really have them but in some more modernized (but not too much) they use some cabinets very similar to the base game "industrial" looking ones. hope this helps you (amazing build btw love your channel)

If I'm understanding correctly your issue with platforms leveling out to the room height, platforms though they don't have walls around them act as separate rooms, so if you drag a new large room box around existing platforms it will cancel out the platforms "room" and make it all 1 level. 1 way I've seen a lot is to create many rooms inside the large space and then use the platform arrows to raise and lower to the right height(s) and then delete the unwanted walls. Hope this helps :) Fantastic build though and I'm excited to see the lp, I'll have to watch your discover university 1 to catch up.

Yes this is how I’ve been doing it, I don’t think the platforms works on stilts because there is nothing underneath them. Like they are not on top of the floor but rather cuts away the floor.

hey!! idk if you use this method already but in the kitchen when you want a smaller island, instead of using 1 or two regular sized islands, use the end islands to make a small one :D

Yeah the wall disappearing when placing platforms bugs me too:( if you wish to place one and the room is already furnished and all, it erases everythingggg annoying

Hmm, just an advice.. Correction if I was wrong.. As long I know about Asian House Room interior, kitchen and dining room are always in behind part of the house. Especially the traditional one. Majority of Asian houses are like that

I had the same issue with building with platforms. I was using the new pack and I thought that the house that I was building would look nice with stilts, but I put the kitchen on a lower platform and it changed the foundation on the outside! I know it doesn't really make sense in real life, but the Sims isn't supposed to be extremely realistic so I'm kinda confused as to why this is happening. I love your builds and it's nice to know that I'm not the only one with this problem. 💕💖

Usually Japanese only use the kotatsu during winter, other than that they keep the kotatsu away, but well this is a Japanese inspired build 😁
