Mt Philistine: Ultimate Beginner's Climb! 🏔️

Explore the awesome Mt Philistine in Arthur's Pass! It's a great mountain for beginners to practice winter alpine climbing. The most exciting part is at Warnock's bluffs. Once you cross the Otira footbridge, climb up the loose rocks to the shoulder of the Warnock bluffs spur, then go around a bit to find an easy gully to climb. But don't go up the rocky tussocks too soon, follow a faint track that makes climbing easy. We, though, made a call to climb a more challenging route via Diagonal Gully. From the top of the bluffs, keep going up the big gully towards the summit. And when you're done, come back the same way. Have fun! 🏔️🧗‍♂️🌟
