've been following the battle scene since 2014, and I've seen many talented dancers come and go. But MT Pop stands out. This kid is truly one of a kind in the scene, every performance I ve watched from him is a masterpiece. Wow man Mt Pop I love you bro, thx for giving us good vibes and dances. Two things i loved about this battle... 1. MT's joy watching Yuzuru. Wouldn't be suprised if he was a big fan. He usually doesn't stand there watching the whole routine of his opponents. 2. Yuzuru, he went first I think, because he knew the youth was going to bring it. Respect. Love.

Gatekeepers like Nelson will say MT Pop does not Pop, should say as well that Yuzuru wasn’t popping 😂😂😂😂😏😏😏😏 They’re so fixated on the “Hard Pop” element that it made the Popping scene stale. Glad people like Salah and now MT Pop came on the scene to revitalize the community 🎉🎉🎉

@@ZeRo-kb5dyyes, and making the popping scene stale. Big movements without sensible transitions doesn’t or being groovy just don’t cut it anymore. MT’s just a fresh breath of air and the change that the popping scene sorely needed. Reminds me of Slim Boogie, Salah and Hoan combined. 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Yeah, MT’s 3rd set is immaculate. Fella hit every beat with precision and grace. Every move and transition he made, made sense. Not like some dancers or poppers who just go along the rhythm and move big. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Yuzuru was great as well but 2024 MT was just a man on a mission. Almost all competitions he joined, he won.

I like yuzuru style in terms of art form. Its beautiful. MT more beat kill and matching the energy of the music so he win here for sure. Kei is not like yuzuru lol. Kei can kill the beats played in this battle. Yuzuru is tracing and waving a lot which is actually very good for getting into flow state regardless of the music. So dancing like that is very therapeutic. Dancing like MT is not therapeutic, instead it makes you high. Both good style but for battle, MT one sells easier. One thing is for sure is that if you dance like yuzuru, you don't give a shit about winning. They are having so much fun just exploring themselves in a calm manner that the joy from winning is insignificant. How do I know? Coz i have been following and greatly inspired by yuzuru, fatsnake, hiroki kind of style a lot so on the practice sessions, dancing like them is just very therapeutic. Feel very calm afterwards. Its just not for battle.

This was such a high level battle. The first two rounds I couldn’t pick a winner. Both showcasing a extremely high level of their style. The third round had a slight separation and I gave it to MTPOP.

I like Yuzuru’s style better though since he incorporates other elements in his dance. Kei’s waving is cool but he seldom includes the other elements of popping. I was kind of surprised (as many of the audience as well) that when MT met Kei during Shirofes, Kei won. Even Kei knew based on his body language that he was surprised he won 😅😅😅
