one of the skaters in my neighborhood had a vcr tape of a contest that happened there. it was the first time we saw pros doing tricks besides magazine pictures. we all piled in his house and watched the whole thing. from then on any wood we saw anywhere would be made into these death traps we would skate trying to be like them. the birth of my career in construction.
