MT03 - R6 Throttle Tube Install

Dude you're the only frickin guy who even mentioned the barrel adjuster and actually showed where it is! Damn these fools had me trying not to tighten the case up so it would slip. Has nothing to do with the removal of the freeplay due to the larger diameter. You are the man.

I did not cut the washer, left it inside to keep debris out and no problem. Had to take out more than half the travel any more I think you'd have to adjust it at the throttle body.

Don't mean to blow you up but I'm pretty sure even yamaha doesn't want you foolin around cause they marked it with a green dot and threadlocker.

when you put the throttle tube on the bar did the thorttle tube just moving around I mean that moving a little bit not 100% the exact size of the oem one ?

Tube fits great like it was designed for the oem bar.

How much of a difference have you noticed? Do you still need to adjust hand while holding throttle on highway?

The best indication that it is working great is that I don't even think about it anymore. It is definitely a good mod and makes the throttle feel much more normal.

Are you considering doing a clutch/brake lever mod? The clutch can be hard to hold in while still being able to reach the indicator for my hands. Would be nice to know how to replace those with something more reachable.

The indicator on this bike is a bit awkward to reach. Not sure levers would fix that. I modified the position of the indicator to make it easier. I'll work on a video for that mod.

Should I be concerned if I had to loosen the nut all the way to allow me to twist the throttle? Seems ok but I don’t know

Mine is a 2021. The process for yours should be identical. Loosen the cable a bit like I show at the end.

I have mt25 (same bike , with smaller engine), when i adjust the cable to make the rotation smaller, it becomes heavier to rotate. Compare to the original tube, does this r6 tube makes it heavier when you rotate the tube or just the same?

The larger diameter of the R6 throttle tube theoretically makes it a little bit heavier but I did not notice a difference. If it feels a lot heavier, disassemble and make sure your cables are not binding somehow.

Yes, my VIN number starts with MH and location of manufacture is listed as Indonesia.

@@mt03experience so that makes sense, yamaha-Indonesia plant is also the main source for R3/mt03, while still producing R25/MT25.
