I had this exact same car in high school and LOVED it! It mobbed to the beach for surf and to the mountains to snowboard while getting great gas mileage. Sadly, a drunk in a Cutlass put it out of commission. Still miss it.

Reminds me of my buddy Cory’s 80something Corolla back in the day, he had a branch with a Y crotch to go on the pedal and the end he’d push in to the seat. When the speed limit dropped from 100km to 90 he’d move the seat back one setting!

Hey guys thats super cool i drive a 1999 laser without cruise in the aussie desert your foot heats up from the floor and burns your heal this is great i have an old xt thumb shifter thats both friction and index purfect for this 👍👍

Oh snap!!! What’s a laser??? But yeah the mechanical, cable actuated throttle body seems pretty easy to “hack” with the extra cable!

@@JeffKendallWeed I agree, my comment was an attempt at humor regarding the Tesla accidents while using the self-driving feature. I’m also not convinced the production and eventual disposal of these battery cells is any “greener” than efficient IC engines.
