I do mountain trekking and have gotten by with sunglasses so far. I'm ready to tackle some higher peaks and will need goggles. We start at about 4:00AM when it's DARK. We end up in the snow with extreme sun reflection. Which goggles are best for this scenario? Thanks.

Honestly to me I think that in time fashion will catch up to technology. The relatively new super lightweight full-face enduro/trail helmets are a highbred. Thus, both glasses or googles work. Its such a trip to watch the cool factor try to catch up to tech in the MTB realm. I live in Bentonville. 5 years ago you never saw shredders ride E-MTB It carried some negative stigma. Now its not uncommon at all here for a shredder to have one in their stable. Bottom line the only point to MTB is fun. Ride and wear what you like! ✌

Both! While some folks prefer a goggle type of feel against their skin along with the additional hold and security that comes with it, they do tend to fog up in some environments where a sunglass frame may allow for better ventilation and, in some cases, better contrast.
