I'm flashed right now Darren💥, on the one hand by your fantastic riding and on the other hand by these unbelievably awesome trails🤩. I realise that on camera the steepness doesn't come close to what it does in real life, but such cool trails. I have to see them💯. I think the conditions should be really dry though😁. Perfect intro... "lots of technical, steep, rooty, loamy fun" - sold! And the video did not disappoint... just makes you feel good 😊 Also: when it looks steep on the GoPro, it is in fact STEEP

Thanks Jay. The GoPro effect is indeed very much in play on this video. The one section on the second trail where Sarah just dropped straight in and I took a look was relentlessly steep and rooty!

Fantastic stuff mate, those trails look ace. Funnily enough, if you hadn't said where they were and if it wasn't for the signposts, you could have convinced me that you were in Shropshire/North Wales riding cheeky stuff.

Thanks dude 👍 This is tech riding paradise. I haven't found a bad or boring trail anywhere on the whole hill. More than just a little sketchy in the wet with all those roots though!

Wow sieht fantastisch aus Darren! Kenne mich leider in der Gegend schlecht aus obwohl Schindellegi nur 40min entfernt liegt. Benutze leider kein Trailforks. Kannst du die Strecke als gpx file teilen oder evt auf Komoot stellen? Das wäre fantastisch! Vielen Dank. Lg Hannes

It is amazing. It must be some of the toughest riding in the lake Zurich area. I'll see if I can dig out a GPS file. But failing that there are excellent trail maps dotted all around the hill, which makes it really easy to find things. There's even one right at the beginning of the ride on Friesischwandstrasse, behind Fuchs Helikopter.

Looks like I have to go there as well, it's just 25-30mins away from where I live. Any suggestions/recommendations where to start with the ride respectively where to park ?

You can park in Schindellegi. There are some parking slots underneath the main road next to the river opposite Fuchs Helikopter.

Yes, Sarah is indeed Australian. The GoPro effect is massive on these trails and the tree roots are just insane in places. I went back yesterday with Christop and we found a trail that was even steeper and rootier than the others - unreal!!!

Sorry, I didn't record that ride. But if you look on Trailforks you can find all the trails. We did Wildspitz Third, the bottom half of the Höhronen ridge, Gutschsagen, Am Dreiländer and Stollen.
